    Senior Sales Executive, South Africa

    What You'll Be Doing
    As a Sales Executive, you’ll:

    •  Draft and execute a Territory and Pipeline reconciliation plan, which captures your strategy for executing a demand-generation campaign to identify, engage and close new business for Paystack within target sectors
    •  Manage the sales cycle from pipeline generation to close, for multinational enterprises, growth and early-stage startups, local corporates and SMEs, to deliver on an annual revenue quota (target)
    •  Receive qualified inbound opportunities and take ownership of these, qualifying and closing them
    •  Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and operational teams both within and outside Paystack
    •  Report pipeline and sales activity data in a CRM to provide visibility into your book of business and guidance on your forecast
    •  Support product development and cross functional initiatives as needed to enhance Paystack’s offering and value proposition.

    What it takes to succeed at this role

    • 7 - 10 years experience in Sales or Business Development in Payments or technology, with Quota responsibility, and a track record of top performance in meeting set objectives
    •  Able to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple products
    •  Ability to build a book of business within an assigned territory, and consistently deliver on quarterly and annual targets from outbound sales efforts
    •  Strong ability to drive sales engagements in a fast-changing environment, sustaining focused conversations to achieve a clear objective.
    •  Able to build trust and credibility by providing accurate information and guidance to prospects regarding Paystack’s products and solution capabilities
    •  Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
    •  Excellent communication skills encompassing verbal, written and presentation skills
    •  Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
    •  Strong interest in technology

    • have previous experience in the banking, payments, or the payment cards industry.

    Financial Partnerships Manager

    About the role

    We are seeking a Financial Partnerships Manager to join our team in South Africa. In this role, you will take charge of cultivating and strengthening relationships with our key banking partners and card scheme partners. Your focus will be on crafting, expanding, andcontinually enhancing mechanisms to foster deeper connections with Paystack's financial partners, along with spearheading impactful programs that set Paystack apart in the South African market. This involves close collaboration with various cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Risk, as well as engaging with Paystack leadership.The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in partner management, strategic thinking in addressing business, product, andtechnical challenges, and the ability to build trust and influence others. A proactive attitude, adeptness at raising expectations in dynamic environments, and the ability to drive impact through ownership are essential attributes for success in this role.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Manage and setup Paystack's most critical banking and financial partnerships in South Africa, with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and launching new product offerings to benefit Paystack merchants
    • Own the banking partner plans, the overall economics, day to day operational excellence and be responsible for the drivingthe partnerships to successful outcomes for Paystack
    • Leverage banking, treasury and payments industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies withtransaction banks, lenders, capital markets, central banks and schemes
    • Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product,finance, treasury) on creation and execution of partner strategy
    • Help find, identify and cultivate relationships with champions within our partner financial institutions, educate them aboutPaystack's value proposition, understand their needs, and execute deals that address those needs and support our 
    • Leverage significant industry experience to educate and help internal teams compose our holistic bank led strategy and toadvance that strategy with banking partners
    • Monitor of the changing Banking landscape and proactively advise Paystack on product opportunities that couldbe demonstrated, optimizing or replacing existing products

    Who you are

    What it takes to succeed at this role

    • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate development or related field
    • Experience negotiating commercial deals with partners, including scaling such deals across multiple partners
    • Exceptionally strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form, and ability to influence stakeholders across awide variety of functions, including at executive levels
    • Technical acumen, especially an ability to understand product strategy and use this understanding to define requirements forscaling products through financial partnerships
    • Experience developing partnership strategies and identifying, sourcing, and analysing new partnership opportunities
    • Strong agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organisation, and thrives on a high level of autonomy andresponsibility

    Preferred qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience related to financial institutions, financial data aggregators, payments, card networks or other high-growth technology companies on platform or product partnership efforts
