    Executive: Strategy Implementation (Parktown)

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    As an Executive:

    • Strategy Implementation, you will be reporting to the Group CFO, the Executive: Strategy Implementation will be responsible for driving, enabling and monitoring the execution of the Finance strategy through effective collaboration with the executive team. This includes effectively integrating new business acquisitions. Working with the RMA Group Corporate Finance division and execution of Strategic Finance Projects for the benefit of the Group.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    Strategy Enablement and Execution:

    •  Work closely with executives to enable strategy execution through one on one sessions.
    • Assist in the preparation of frameworks and fill in gaps where required.
    • Review structures in order to ensure alignment with and support the strategy.
    • Implement a revised operating model throughout the organisation that will support the roll out of the strategy.
    • Provide expert advice and consulting to the CFO from both an insurance perspective, through the sound understanding of the organisation’s context and strategy, unpacking key challenges and/or opportunities, options and choices and potential implications (both positive and negative)
    • Manage and drive key projects and initiatives that are critical to strategy execution by ensuring that these are executed as per plan and have the desired outcome
    • Provide support on strategy execution, monitoring and reporting for shareholder and investor categories.

    Effective Reporting:

    • Coordinate the reporting function from the CFO’s Office ensuring that the correct information is presented in the right way at the right level for Finance strategic projects
    • Coordinate and ensure the development of a fit for purpose dashboard

    Key Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Attend and participate in Group and Divisional Excos
    • Participate in key meetings related to strategic initiatives, in order to keep updated on any relevant developments or risks.
    • Provide continuous feedback to the CFO and highlight any areas that require his/her direct intervention
    • Support the CEO, and CFO in any relevant matters, in order to drive the function’s agenda and achieve strategic objectives for the organisation

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

    • CA (SA) or Equivalent
    • Business , Finance or Insurance related Tertiary qualification
    • MBA (optional)
    • 10 -15 years’ experience in a Insurance or Financial Services
    • Proven track record of success in leading large scale business projects
    • Prior M&A integration strategy, post-merger integration management as well as functional/ operational workstream management and execution

    GM: Sales and Distribution (Parktown)

    As a GM:

    • Sales and Distribution, you will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rand Mutual Life (RML) and forming a part of the Rand Mutual Life business, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of sales strategies and driving sales through the RMA distribution channels and will be responsible for the corporate customer segment Class IV and XIII, creating sales tactics, plans and targets and identifying business opportunities in target markets in order to capitalise on partnerships and stakeholder engagements. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the sales management based around South Africa with the objective of ensuring that both the individual and the company targets are achieved.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    Achievement of sales targets through effective strategy implementation:

    • Overall responsibility for developing, managing and implementing a competitive sales strategy
    • Drive sales targets by designing, implementing and driving an effective sales strategy to achieve the full company sales target (including increasing market share and optimizing business assets)
    • Ensure that clear expectations and targets are set for internal sales teams and monitor these on a regular basis
    • Effectively manage the profitability of the products being sold by meeting the Boards Strategic targets on Non-COID Sales
    • Expand Rand Mutual Life product offering (including the RMA COID system) into Africa.

    Lead the various Sales and Distribution functional areas:

    • Oversee the growth of the independent Broker market
    • Ensure that a culture of compliance is embedded across functions

    • Oversee the effective management of corporate schemes and the on-boarding process
    • Continuously oversee and manage growth in broker panels and key accounts

    • Oversee the people related agenda for the sales team by:
    • Ensuring that a high-performance culture is created and maintained by continuously motivating the sales team, and inspiring them to stay focused on achieving the defined sales targets

    New business development:

    • Build and grow the business in terms of activity and sales by:
    • Overseeing the review of RMA’s product offerings as designed by the Product Development Team with the aim of improving current products
    • Continuously spotting/identifying market opportunities for new customers
    • Identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
    • Attending industry events and conferences, on a regular basis, to generate new business leads and represent/act as a spokesperson for the company at these various platforms to attract more, potential clients
    • Expanding Rand Mutual product offering to all existing membership

    Internal and external stakeholder management:

    • Develop and build relationships with the consultants, managers and other team leaders in a manner that is conducive to a high-performance sales culture
    • Interact and present to Executives and Board within RMA as and when necessary
    • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
    • Build strong Strategic Partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Effectively network with other sales executives/directors/heads in order to generate new business for the company

    Risk and compliance management:

    • Ensure effective risk management as identified by the risk team
    • Ensure that the sales team stay abreast of and implement changes as per the Financial Services Conduct Authority as well as the Prudential Authority
    • Ensure ongoing adherence to Internal Audit processes and standards

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

    • NQF Level 7: Commercial Business Degree
    • CFP
    • RE1 and RE5
    • At least 10 years of experience in sales management (Corporate/Employee Benefits environment)
    • Minimum 10 years management experience, 3 of which should be at a Senior Management level

    Implementation and Enablement Specialist (Parktown)

    • As the Implementation and Enablement Specialist you will oversee the planning and tracking of specific Life & Partnerships initiatives within RML with specific deliverables as identified by Senior Management, from time to time. The incumbent will support the managing and driving of relationships through the project implementation of solutions.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    Plan the project  

    • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
    • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
    • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
    • Develop a detailed schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities and takes into account the long-term impact of decisions and possible risks
    • Engage with senior management and all stakeholders / staff that will be affected by the project activities, to review the project schedule; revise the schedule as required
    • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

    Implement the project

    • Execute the project according to the project plan and manage project deliverables making decisions and solving problems within the scope of the project. Escalate non-project related decisions and problems to the project sponsor/business owner
    • Ensure that the project deliverables are met on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
    • Develop forms and records to document project activities
    • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    Data Management

    • Determine the most reliable source for data.

    Drive business needs analyses and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
    • Provide consulting services to the business to assist data users in the interpretation and use of data, as and when required.
    • Lead analysis initiatives and service improvement reviews across the business.
    • Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
    • Proactively analyse data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.

    Reporting

    • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
    • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
    • Define delivery modes for transmitting and reporting enterprise data.
    • Prepare and submit ad hoc reports on information retrieved and analysed.
    • Create regular information reports to be presented to management and the business.
    • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Ops management, the business Exco, relevant regulatory and compliance committees.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

    • NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc. in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics).
    • Intermediate SQL, MS Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • 3-5 years’ experience as a data analyst.
    • Data analyst experience within a BI environment is a must.
    • Data cleansing experience.
    • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
    • Technical report writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations with experience using SSRS, PowerBI and automation of jobs.

    Retentions Specialist (Parktown)

    • As a Retentions Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing customer retention programmes and initiatives to increase loyalty and retain business. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Retentions Agents who contribute to RMA’s strategic deliverables through ensuring successful collection of premiums in an endeavour to retain RMA Life’s core customer base by driving retention and upselling of RMA Products.

    Systems Administrator - Cloud (Parktown)

    • As a Cloud Systems Administrator you will be reporting to the Cloud Systems Administrator Team Leader, the Cloud Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of operating system software and hardware and associated utility software products in support of business processing requirements and operating and service level agreements and in accordance with established routines.     • Support RMA Domain and Directory services, including, but not limited to maintaining services utilizing Microsoft Servers over a multisite environment, including physical and virtual infrastructure
    • Assist with daily operations remotely and onsite, including monitoring, health checks, alerting, troubleshooting, reporting, incident and problem management, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades and performance monitoring / tuning of ICT infrastructure and connectivity
    • Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability
    • Escalate and mitigate any ICT Infrastructure risks, including but not limited to security threats, vulnerabilities, and risk exposure, within agreed secure scores. Which includes e-mail security, Patch Management, Security Incident detection, response, and recovery
    • Consistently maintain and audit backups for disaster recovery needs, as well as monitor and configure any virus protection software

    Provide support with IT service requests and system

    • Provide troubleshooting on all systems within organization including workstations, servers, network equipment, and supported applications
    • Assist with resolving critical alerts (Security and Infrastructure) with regards to the ICT environment and network
    • Resolve calls within agreed SLA’s, update Service Desk calls and tracking on issue resolution
    • Log and manage service requests and escalate major and critical incidents to the Systems Administrator Team Leader or to external service providers
