Key Output

• To provide support to the financial manager and the general manager of the business unit in carrying out the financial disciplines of the business unit.
• Preparation of the month actual, forecast and plan periods files.
• Preparation of the annual financial statements and liaising with the auditors.
• Preparation of bi-monthly cash forecast and reconciliation to expected cash flow.
• Completion of the monthly management accounts.
• Day-to-day management of Financial team in the region.
• Involvement and support during the interim and annual year end returns.
• Assistance and completion of any ad-hoc expenses.
• Review and follow up of monthly results for the business unit.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12
• BCom or CA (SA)
• 5-7 years’ experience in either auditing or as a TOPP student
• SAP Knowledge
• Knowledge and experience of financial reporting systems would be an advantage
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressurised circumstances and to meet deadlines

Key Outputs

• Carry out scheduled services, maintenance, and repairs (Disassemble, inspect and assemble) on Earthmoving Equipment on customer sites or at Barloworld Equipment sites.
• Carry out Machine Inspections and Technical Analysis (TA’s) on machines or components, compile accurate reports with recommendations to the customers.
• Efficiently trouble shoot and diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs to ensure optimal utilization and availability of machines.
• Maintain professional image when representing Barloworld Equipment
• Maintain and work according to BWE Contamination Standards

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Matric/ Grade 12
• Qualified in relevant trade, red seal (e.g. Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic)
• Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience on Caterpillar machines.
• Machine specific technical knowledge and skills on Caterpillar Equipment systems.
• Good understanding of operation systems on Caterpillar equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand Caterpillar equipment system schematics.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills
• Good technical report writing
• Basic business and financial understanding
• Computer Literacy (SIS, STW and ET) knowledge

• Assist the Mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and / or components.

• Good understanding off Caterpillar electrical and electronic systems
• Experience on air conditioning maintenance and repairs.
