    Supply Chain Assistant - (Baby)

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    • To order inventory based on SKU forecasts to maximize inventory availability.
    • To create and distribute DC to store specific allocations to maximize inventory availability.
    • To collaborate with the planner on inventory exceptions (short/late deliveries, reasons for out of stocks, etc.) and assist with resolving the issues to maximize inventory availability.
    • To liaise with the relevant stakeholders (DC, Vendors, Stores and Category etc.) to resolve replenishment queries to maximize inventory availability.
    • To provide on-going updates to the planner on promotional stock flow to ensure inventory availability for promotions.
    • To support and assist the planner with adhoc inventory related requests.
    • Generate and collate information and then apply sound business thinking to provide the category team with insights to assist the team to plan and manage the category effectively.
    • To place new line, promotional and pipe fill orders and /or other ad hoc orders to ensure inventory availability for promotions. 

    Minimum requirements

     EDUCATION:

    Essential

    • Diploma in Purchasing/Business Management

    • B.Com degree - Financial/Retail Management

    Job Objectives:

    • To consult with customers, answer product based questions and advise customers in selecting the best products and services that meet their needs.
    • To drive and maximise sales of the beauty department through the promotion, cross-selling and up-selling in order to ensure that monthly targets are consistently met.
    • To monitor sales, regularly evaluate the performance of products and offer suggestions that results in improved product offerings and increased sales.

    Senior Demand Planner - H&E

    Job objectives  

    • To be accountable for forecast accuracy within the allocated categories
    • To be accountable for optimized inventory levels within the allocated categories and minimum order quantity within the allocated categories
    • To partner with the Category Managers on the development of pre-season sales, markdown, margin, and inventory plans
    • To analyze and propose to the merchandising department top line shifts in the assortment investment at the categoryl evel
    • At the category level monitor projections, inventory flow and seasonal sell-off plans as well as validate monthly forecast for open to buy management
    • To recognize and reconcile forecast exceptions to track and manage sales against forecast and validate forecast for OTB management

    Job experience

    • 5 years’ experience with in Demand Planning in a retail / FMCG environment
    • Distributions requirement planning and other supply chain processes such as production planning, scheduling and transportation

     Desirable:

    • 2 - 4 years planning and executing projects Experience with retail buying or logistics preferred
    • Supply chain software knowledge (BY / EP) advantageous
