    Wealth Technical Specialist

    Job description:

    • This role requires a wealth product specialist in the Financial Services environment with in-depth experience in investments, financial planning and product analysis. It is based in our Technical Adviser Support team.
    • The role is overall responsible to support a large national network of advisers with complex advice related matters in PSG Wealth. This includes working closely with product providers ensuring that our product suite remain competitive.

    Responsibilities:

    • Subject matter expert and manager of the large case review process including presenting the case and findings to senior management for approval
    • On an ongoing basis, evaluate, review and improve large case process
    • Subject matter expert on technical product and advice matters including but not limited to adviser focused meetings and relevant technical/distribution committees
    • Working with cross-functional teams on strategic distribution projects where Wealth SME’s are required
    • Assist with the provision of content to technical adviser support team (Technical Advisory Services) and marketing in relation to advice and distribution activities.
    • Draft, review and sign-off communication for marketing purposes in relation to advice and distribution activities.
    • Collaborating with cross-divisional teams on product and product provider due diligence.
    • Provide ongoing technical advisory support to advisers and distribution teams (proactive and reactive)
    • Draft of communication on technical topics e.g. Take Notes, industry relevant articles.
    • Represent Technical Advisory Services as Wealth Product expert on Technical Advisory Services and non-Technical Advisory Services related committees
    • Due diligence on product and product providers in collaboration with the risk and finance team
    • Research on ad hoc projects
    • Effective management of direct reporting staff
    • Responsible for facilitation of Technical Training to junior staff

    Minimum requirements:

    • Degree in Financial Management / Financial Planning or related
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Advantageous)

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in wealth and investment products
    • In-depth knowledge of financial planning
    • Experience engaging at an EXCO/Senior Management level
    • Exposure to working directly with financial advisers

    Wealth Adviser Assistant

    Job description:

    • This position is a position that will consist of an Assistant function to the Wealth Advisers through reliable support, office administration, and client administration duties. Primarily providing after sales service offering to customers, thereby contributing to the ongoing customer relationship. The focus of the role is to provide quality service and maximise customer retention and referral, in line with the practice service model and procedures.

    Responsibilities:
    Personal assistant duties:
    General assistant duties to Wealth Advisers which includes but are not limited to:        

    The following lists to be distributed on the 1st of each month:

    • Birthday
    • Review report
    • Re-comply list
    • Income reviews
    • Merge report list
    • Section 14 review
    • Income shortfalls
    • Weekly Feedback report
    • Maintain and update CRM system (update client details, merging, link family, details to be updated with all service providers, etc.)
    • Maintain myPractice statistics, once a month run merge report and merge required icomplies.
    • Keep Mypractice knowledge up to date on any system developments or changes
    • Watch weekly training videos even if you are of the opinion you are up to date
    • Up to date with various product provider websites
    • Any other reasonable assistant instructions

    To do list :

    • Keep a to-do list on all instructions given by adviser
    • Every Monday send progress report to adviser
    • Whenever CC’d in an email from adviser, the email becomes your responsibility to follow up and finalise
    • Any instruction send to product provider must be followed up within providers service level agreement and ensure that the instruction is finalised, and adviser was notified thereof.
    • Prioritized cases followed up every 24h and ensure it gets finalized asap.
    • Maintain client service levels and feedback loop

    Daily expectations:

    • Complete any form as comprehensive and accurate as possible
    • Complete all client details as provided on MyPractice

    Wealth Adviser Assistant | Paarl, Western Cape | Permanent

    Job description:

    • The Wealth Adviser Assistant plays a key support role in ensuring a smooth and professional client experience by managing all aspects of the client onboarding process. This includes the preparation, collection, verification, and submission of all necessary documentation in line with internal compliance and regulatory requirements. The assistant acts as a liaison between the Wealth Manager, client, and internal operational teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. The role requires the incumbent to hold a proper authority, with a moderate level of technical knowledge. It also demands excellent relationship management, secretarial, and administrative skills.

    Responsibilities:
    New Business Implementation:

    • Implementation of all new business, including all follow-ups in-line with Stockbroking Service Offering.  This includes completing and submitting application forms where necessary, contacting suppliers and ensuring business is completed in a timely fashion.
    • Follow-up any outstanding workflows, in-line with Stockbroking Service Offering.
    • Acknowledge and process all new business submissions, overseeing the implementation stage of the onboarding process, such as dispatching welcome communication to clients.
    • Verify that the implementation process has been completed correctly and meets all compliance and operational standards.
    • Customer service
    • Manage all client communication requirements as instructed by the Adviser, Supervisor, or Paraplanner, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
    • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date record of all clients contact on the client relationship management (CRM) system.
    • Facilitate the accurate and timely communication of client detail updates to the appropriate product providers for implementation.
    • Manage the resolution of client concerns in a timely and professional manner, often acting as a liaison between clients and service providers. Provide support on all client enquiries within the scope of the firm’s service standards, referring queries to the appropriate team members as needed. Note: this role excludes the giving of financial advice.
    • Assist in maintaining client relationships and ensuring strong client retention, aligned with the company’s service model.

    Administration:

    • Action payment instructions daily.
    • Assist with the following transactions as necessary:
    • Open and close accounts
    • Load payment instructions.
    • Email proof of payment to client.
    • Assist with client enquiries.

     General administration

    • Ensure new client files are accurately prepared in a timely manner, either personally or by delegating to the appropriate support staff.
    • Prepare documents and correspondence as needed by the Adviser or support team.
    • Carry out other responsibilities or ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Adviser or Direct Supervisor, in line with the needs of the business.
    • Assist with filing and archiving as and when needed.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma in Business Administration/ equivalent
    • Proficient in both spoken and written Afrikaans and English
