    Finance Manager

    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    • We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Financial Manager to drive the financial operations of the company. 
    • In this role you will work under and directly report to the Head of Finance in financial reporting and analysis of the business, preparation of financials for management or audit, budgeting and forecast modelling, supporting compliance, revenue and cost analysis and tax planning. 
    • You will be part of a passionate and dedicated Finance team, supported by an external accounting firm/specialist where needed.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Financial Modelling, Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Modelling expenses and revenues to help forecast the company P&L and cash-in-bank on a monthly and annual basis.
    • Analysing business data to provide feedback on operational performance, optimising costs and planning revenue growth.
    • Identifying areas of improvement to make financial reporting more useful and actionable for strategy-setting.

    Financial Operations

    • Preparing regular operational cash flow forecasts
    • Drafting the financial information for R&D tax credit submissions
    • Analyse and review data submissions to local and national authorities
    • Monitoring KPIs to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvements
    • Establish benchmarks for financial processes
    • Analyse processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins

    Compliance

    • Support in preparing for and meeting statutory, regulatory and investor reporting requirements.
    • Supporting the annual financial audit and preparing the annual accounts
    • Submitting annual returns for UK and SA companies
    • Preparing Company tax computations
    • Conducting internal audit reviews and risk analyses

    Strategic

    • Researching finance and statutory requirements in new markets
    • Studying industry-specific business trends and research data
    • Assisting with due diligence for investment and/or M&A activities
    • Explore investment opportunities 

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum:

    • CA/ACCA qualification
    • At least 4 years of financial reporting experience
    • Experience and understanding of UK tax requirements
    • Experience and understanding of applicable financial standards, regulations and compliance requirements
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High level of planning and organisation skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
    • Extensive experience creating and maintaining financial models
    • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.

    Preferred: 

    • Experience using Xero or an equivalent accounting system
    • Exposure to US accounting and tax practices
    • Experience in carrying out due diligence and M&A activities
    • At least 2 years of experience managing a team

    Product Marketing Lead- KZN

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • The Product Marketing Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding the Product Marketing function across HyperionDev’s education technology offerings.
    • You will help lead and define the product positioning strategy, ensuring structured A/B testing and thorough content performance analysis, and fostering an increasingly agile PMM function.
    • As the Product Marketing Lead, you will oversee the team's execution of go-to-market strategies, product launches, and lifecycle marketing initiatives to ensure product success and market adoption.

    • Lead and grow the Product Marketing function by hiring, mentoring, and providing direct line management to Product Marketing Specialists.
    • Ensure Product Marketing Specialists are equipped with deep customer insights to create effective positioning strategies and develop compelling messaging for all product launches.
    • Establish Detailed Documentation: Manage the visual style guides, the copy guidelines and restrictions, and serve as the primary resource for the team to ensure adherence to these standards. 

    Strategic Initiative Development

    • Strategic Marketing Development: Along with the Head of Brand & Product Marketing, help define the core marketing strategy and oversee its execution to improve the positioning of HyperionDev and/or partner products in local and international markets, partnering with Performance Marketing & University Partnerships to achieve product-market fit.
    • Campaign Management: Manage the end-to-end development and execution of cross-channel campaigns for product and partner launches, spanning both HyperionDev bootcamps and University Partner programs.
    • Go-to-Market Strategy: Help lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature releases, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are aligned.
    • Lifecycle Marketing: Define and implement lifecycle marketing strategies to engage customers at different stages of their journey and maximise customer retention and loyalty.
    • Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of competitor products and strategies to inform product development and marketing decisions, ensuring findings are disseminated to the team.
