    Stores Controller Assistant - Richards Bay

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To ensure correct and timeous receipt and dispatch products and services on SAP. Responsible for the functioning of stores in its entirety

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics
    • SAP experience
    • Procurement experience is advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the receipt and issue of goods and services. 
    • Ensure items/goods received and issued are entered on SAP and that SAP is up to date
    • Monitor stock levels and notify the relevant personnel in advance for items which require replenishment.
    • Inspect, Control & keep record of Stores Equipment on loan to Sites/ Workshop
    • Monitor stocks that have not been moving.
    • Maintain order and good housekeeping in the stores.
    • Capable of fulfilling the role of the stores’ controller in his/ her absence.
    • Any other duty that is in the interest of the Company that is legal and lawful

    Maintenance Planner - Richards Bay

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • NTC5, Diploma or equivalent.
    • Trade tested in relevant engineering discipline.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the engineering planning environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan daily maintenance activities on site
    • Plan and control general maintenance and breakdowns on a day-to-day basis using the computerized maintenance system
    • Anticipate labour requirements and arrange accordingly
    • Prioritize and schedule daily work and manage time to ensure that maximum productivity is met
    • Co-ordinate all maintenance activities with the Charge Hands on site, routine, break down and emergency work to minimize downtime and delays
    • Assist in controlling a comprehensive preventative Maintenance program, maintain company assets within specification and to ensure optimum equipment availability
    • Operate and fully utilize the current computerised maintenance management system
    • Operate within the parameters of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
    • Compile monthly reports for submission to the Engineering Manager Maintenance Engineer
    • Implement and manage a planned maintenance system that provides consistently reliable equipment to support operations customer delivery requirements
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order according to supplier’s maintenance requirements, prolonging its useful life
    • Ensure quantity and quality of strategic spares is always available to ensure the minimum downtime of equipment and to minimize operational delays
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained at optimum levels to minimize downtime of equipment.
    • Maintain and update plant functional locations.
    • Assist in continuously monitoring expenditure and identify means to reduce costs by discussing budgets with the maintenance tea

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Basic knowledge of Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Welding and Civil disciplines
    • Good understanding of plant and maintenance operations
    • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
    • Good working knowledge of computer systems i.e. word, excel, power point and SAP.
    • OSH Act knowledge, ISO Systems and Safety Management (NOSA)
    • Be able to work independently and in teams.

    Maintenance Engineer - Durban

    Minimum Requirements

    • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma/ Btech/ Degree or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years Maintenance/Engineering/Project experience – preferably in the chemical/Petro-chemical industry
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience in maintenance systems
    • Preparation and management of budgets (OPEX & CAPEX)
    • Good understanding of SHEQ systems (OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 & ISO19001)
    • Good understanding API 653/650 standards

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Effectively and efficiently implement and update maintenance strategy for the business unit
    • Submit monthly projects reports as per departmental requirements
    • Provide input from a maintenance perspective into the engineering department’s business plans
    • Conduct feasibility studies as and when required
    • Plan and execute planned and unplanned outages/shutdowns with agreed time, cost, quality and scope
    • Ensure that projects take into consideration ease of maintenance and operation
    • Ensure that a plan is developed and tracked for each project and regular feedback given to management on all projects
    • Lead project/shutdown post mortems meetings for each project and close identified gaps
    • Lead root cause analysis of repetitive failure and recommend improvement actions
    • Contribute to site optimisation program by focussing on innovative solutions for continuous improvement
    • Ensure that the service providers limit of authority is strictly adhered to within the contractor’s area of responsibility
    • Drive the MOC process and ensure that timeous feedback is given to relevant stakeholders
    • Ensure timeous receipting and TECO of completed projects
    • Identifies risk exposure and risk mitigation measures
    • Ensure all safety files for service providers are reviewed and approved prior to starting of the project site work
    • Ensure equipment availability is maximised through implementation and management of maintenance strategies
    • Partake in all investigations relevant to maintenance activities and record learnings
    • Ensure new assets are captured on the system and preventative maintenance plans are developed and implemented
    • Facilitate close out of all departmental internal and external audits
    • Assist in development and management of maintenance OPEX and CAPEX budget for the business
