    Credit Analyst - Guateng

    Job Purpose:

    • To carry out the activities necessary to provide credit to customers with acceptable limits of risk to the company.

    Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

    • Determines customer credit worthiness, approves/rejects customer deals within approved credit authority, recommends deals beyond credit authority, and restructures customer deals.
    • Negotiates complex financial transactions and prepares transactions for documentation and funding within limits of authority.
    • Negotiates changes in standard documents with legal assistance.
    • Negotiates and prepares financial transactions for documentation for transactions in excess of credit authority.
    • Assists in administration of wholesale and retail customer "loan" covenant compliance reviews, including on-site record and physical machine/inventory audits.
    • Conducts and monitors credit investigations.
    • Assists in leading the documentation of retail accounts receivable and administers in-processing, signing, and funding of documented transactions.
    • Assists in managing accounting input and audits booked deals for accuracy.
    • May provide training for employees in the areas of credit, documentation, and in-processing.
    • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department.  
    • Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

    Job Requirements:

    • A completed 3-year qualification in Credit, Finance or related field.
    • A minimum of 4 years exempt experience in credit, collections, and/or financial statement analysis is recommended. 
    • Knowledge of and ability to analyse customer credit summaries and past due accounts.
    • Thorough knowledge of Caterpillar products, their applications, and their markets.
    • Thorough knowledge of credit concepts and techniques.
    • Knowledge of financing and leasing products of the subsidiary.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply past due account collection techniques.
    • Thorough knowledge of financing and leasing documentation principles.
    • Knowledge of billing, invoicing and dealer payment principles and concepts.
    • Knowledge of security filing requirements and their applicability to bankruptcy laws and regulations.
    • Knowledge of marketing, credit and customer services concepts and techniques.
    • Ability to apply effective oral, written, and listening communication skills with dealers, customers, company personnel, and the financial community.

    SEM Industry Representative

    Job Purpose:

    • To consult with dealers to market Caterpillar products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability.  

    Duties will include, but limited to:

    • Counselling dealers in developing increased human performance capability.
    • Providing guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures within one industry.
    • Assisting dealers on forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning and sales techniques.
    • Supporting rollout of new products (e.g., products, parts, customer service agreements, other service products).
    • Analysing and communicating marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers.
    • Analysing product application, configuration and utilization that provide the best solution for a customer.
    • Assisting dealers with business planning within one industry.

    Background/Experience:

    • A completed 3-year qualification or a degree/equivalent experience. 
    • 4 to 6 years prior experience in field assignments and have demonstrated the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent business acumen skills with the ability to influence others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work on larger scale, more complex assignments and provides direction to lower-level reps on project assignments.

    Project Manager

    Job Purpose:

    • The successful candidate will serve as a consultant and technical expert on large and complex mining projects in support of the EAME/CIS Region. Within the Major Projects Team, you are responsible to coordinate an aligned strategy between dealers and internal business partners to deliver a holistic proposal adapted to the customer requirements.
    • The Project Manager will use fleet production and financial modelling tools together with project documentation to develop a mine site specific production and cost analysis and provide fleet sizing/volume recommendations to provide the lowest cost per ton for the customer’s mining operations.

    Responsibilities with include, but not limited to:

    • Act as a team and/or project leader.
    • Analyze the customer needs and assemble the relevant Caterpillar Subject Matter Experts to scope and develop a customized solution,
    • Complete financial and production modelling for customer specific applications.
    • Ensure that the Caterpillar proposal is realistic and addresses the customer pain points.
    • Coordinate the various business units to develop an integrated customer focused solution.
    • Ensure that the Caterpillar proposal meet all the legal and financial requirements.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent experience.
    • 10 years industry experience in operations and project management.
    • Good understanding of owning and operating costs of mining equipment.
    • Excellent Analytic Skills.
    • Extensive understanding in mining process and applications.
    • Ability to communicate the technical information effectively with team members.
    • Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
    • Demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions.
    • Ability to work across multiple business units.

    Key Accounts Manager

    Job Summary:

    • The successful candidate will market and promote Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC) and Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation (CISC) financial products and services to Caterpillar dealers and customers in an assigned territory.

    Duties And Responsibilities:

    • Provides professional representation in an assigned territory, which includes training for dealer management and support personnel concerning merchandising, and financing programs for private entities and governmental bodies. 
    • Initiates and develops good customer relations through explaining initial transaction quotations to customers, collecting customer credit information, answering technical questions, evaluating, and attempting to meet competitive offerings, and obtaining final customer acceptance of transactions.  May have credit approval authority. 
    • Administers existing financial contracts including conducting field audits of financed equipment to verify location and ensure proper use.  Answers customer questions pertaining to property taxes and billings. 
    • Assists in the collection of past due amounts, oversees repossession of equipment as needed.
    • Negotiates the restructuring of transactions to meet customer needs while meeting the expectations of Company management.
    • Analyses and evaluates the effectiveness of Company financing programs in an assigned territory. 
    • Evaluates current market trends and supplies new forecast information to management for inclusion in the Company business plan.  Monitors economic activity in a territory, and reports equipment market trends and competitive financial offerings to management. 
    • Continuously evaluates growth areas and potential new markets for possible financing opportunities.
    • Assists Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation in developing a positive working relationship with Caterpillar dealers. 
    • Assists the Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation staff in promoting insurance services to Caterpillar dealers.
    • Provides the dealer with all promotional material on the various insurance products, some of which are passed on to the end-user.
    • May explain the insurance products in detail and follows up with the dealers on questions or problems. 
    • Shows the dealer how financing and insurance can be sold as a complete package to meet customer needs.
    • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department.  Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data.  Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them. Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

    Job Requirements:

    • A completed degree in accounting or banking is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to credit, customer services, collections, marketing, and/or financial statement analysis is recommended. 
    • Advanced knowledge of marketing and marketing techniques.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of financing and leasing products, policies, and procedures of the subsidiary.
    • Advanced knowledge of credit and documentation procedures, processes, and operations.
    •  Demonstrated ability to analyze the financial status of customers. Demonstrated ability to define finance/lease markets. Ability to drive a car or adequately arrange for transportation to and from dealerships, customer sites, etc. Knowledge of Caterpillar dealer organizations.
