    Site Manager - Cape Town

    Description

    The purpose is to manage the hygiene team and maintain positive work expectations at a customer level and ensure that the hygiene team delivers a food safe facility to the customer according to policies and procedures and create optimum efficiency. The Site Manager will be the first line of contact to the customer and ensure customer centricity through regular, meaningful interactions with all key site stakeholder at all levels.

    Job Specification: 

    • Manage and coordinate all operational functions on site. 
    • Deliver a daily food safe facility to customer standards.  
    • Use information obtained at the site to complete inspections, micros, audits, and customer feedback. 
    • Manage site budgets and manage man-hours as per shift schedule.  
    • Responsible for staff management and resolving HR related matters.  
    • Coach and mentor staff as well as developing their skills. 
    • Drive Occupational Health and Safety and make recommendations to improve the process.  
    • Ensure internal audits meet daily requirements.  
    • Close out any raised non – conformance of micros out of specification and following up on NCR’s. 
    • Liaise daily with customers.  
    • Assist with recruitment for the region as the need arises.  
    • Assist with coordinating training interventions at site level.  

    Requirements

    Job Requirements: 

    • Management /or Food Technology Qualification (advantageous). 
    • Experience in FMCG and/or cleaning industry essential. 
    • Staff Management and Labour Relations experience is essential.  
    • Experience working with a Hygiene Quality Management System is advantageous.
    • Good command of the English language. 
    • High-Quality administrative skills required. 
    • Be flexible to work at various sites as requested on short notice.

    The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets: 

    • Must be comfortable with the Ecowize culture and values.  
    • Ability to work a strict shift position and willing to work over weekends. 
    • Experience in the food production industry.

    Training Coordinator - Kempton Park

    Description

    Ecowize has been protecting brands in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years, executing world class services, products, technologies, solutions and systems. We are  an experienced Training Coordinator to join our Learning and Development team in Johannesburg for a 7-month Fixed Term period.

    The purpose is to ensure the successful execution of the Training strategy by coordinating training interventions in a fast-paced environment and making sure the specific delegates attend specified training within the deadlines required. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with managers, internal and external stakeholders to arrange and manage the planning and implementation of all training interventions which includes but are not limited to learnerships and statutory training.

    High-level Job Objectives:

    • Planning and managing training interventions (statutory and non-statutory training) with required training records and systems kept up to date within required timelines.
    • Learnership coordination with required training records and systems kept up to date within required timelines.
    • User database management on the Learner Management system
    • Pro-actively ensure attendance and that users complete all required training documentation within required timelines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist L&D Manager to map out quarterly training plans and schedules.
    • Assist with sourcing appropriate training providers/training programmes to meet employee developmental/training needs.
    • Coordinating with facilitators, training partners, venues, and delegates for virtual and face-to-face training.
    • Manage all the logistics for the training sessions and support trainers in the delivery of training sessions through the organisation of necessary materials, facilities, equipment, and refreshments
    • Coordinate and drive the application and onboarding process of learnership candidates.
    • Coordinate monthly training sessions and remediation sessions where required.
    • Coordinate and track monthly POE submissions.
    • Perform day-to-day functions within the learner management system such as maintaining user database
    • Assist in troubleshooting the LMS user maintenance issues.
    • Provides training on the use/navigation of the LMS.
    • Provide end-user support on technical aspects of the LMS.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to enter data, pull reports, and perform other functions in the LMS.
    • Evaluate the success of training interventions.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 3 year degree/ relevant diploma
    • Previous experience working as a Training Coordinator role is required.
    • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
    • Experience creating and managing yearly training plans/schedules
    • Experience managing the implementation of learnerships
    • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders on junior and senior level

    Site Supervisor - Brits

    Description

    The purpose is to oversee the work activities of the hygiene team to ensure that the site is handed over to the client according to required hygiene standards. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for training the hygiene team in using all equipment and chemicals in a safe manner and be responsible for site safety and making sure that teams perform tasks timeously.

    Summary of responsibilities: 

    • Lead and manage a team to produce a food-safe site, daily. 
    • Manage and achieve the budgeted man-hours and purchases in their section. 
    • Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment with compliance to all statutory safety regulations. 
    • Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff.
