    Ops Chargehand

    Description

    • Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
    • Provide information regarding Health & Safety of Enaex equipment to mine and Enaex employees.
    • Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
    • Assist Service Technician in maintenance of DDS™ Equipment
    • Density checks and records
    • Day to day inspections and minor repairs on DDS™ equipment
    • Oversee mine trained employee to do daily checklist. Mine employee to hand checklist to his mine supervisor.
    • First responder to breakdowns (All minor issues on shift)
    • Reporting on levels of DDS™ emulsions and delivery dates for emulsion
    • Offloading of the DDS ™ delivery tanker & weighbridge notes sign
    • Reporting on spares used and stock level to Service Technician
    • Report of spillages to mine personnel to arrange for clean-up
    • Report status of good housekeeping around silos to mine.
    • Daily reporting of findings in underground workings to Section Mine Overseer / Shift boss / Miner with regards to   - charging-up and drilling on the working areas he visited.
    • Communication with service Technician on status of DDS™ equipment.
    • Breakdown reports and feedback to M/O , HFO , Service Technician
    • Follow up on recommendations and implementation of proposals
    • Identify incorrect charging up practices
    • Conduct blast surveys according to the designed criteria
    • Demonstrate the charging up and connecting of all Enaex explosives products
    • Apply the use of the product as per the product application training
    • Apply the safe handling, storage and transport of explosives
    • Ensure correct PPE is used, as well as that PPE is in good condition and correctly worn/used
    • Maintain housekeeping of work area
    • Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately (Hirac & Risk Assessment)
    • Knowledge of relevant hand tools
    • Knowledge of emergency procedures
    • Comply with the Mine’s safety and health procedures
    • Attend the mine’s induction training
    • Maintain basic safety, health and environmental issues
    • Assess the product application practices
    • Identify incorrect product application practices
    • Demonstrate and coach the correct practices
    • Adhere to Enaex code of practice and procedures
    • Adhere to mine Health & Safety requirements
    • Work according to the hours of the mine set
    • Daily underground visit

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:

    • Grade 12  
    • Underground Blasting Assistant Certificate and Competent B for underground (Advantage)
    • N2 electrical or mechanical (advantage)
    • Basic Computer skills
    • Valid medical fitness certificate for UG Mines

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years working experience in underground (advantage)

    Credit Controller (Gauteng - Sandton)

    Description

    Credit Management

    • Manage debtors’ book according to established accounts receivable policies/procedures and agreed terms
    • Timeous debt collection and credit control 
    • Download and processing of bank statements 
    • Forex dealing 
    • Accurate allocation of payments 
    • Timeous scheduling of ACB deductions 
    • Reconciliation of debtors accounts 
    • Timeous order releases 
    • Accurate cash flow prediction 
    • Preparation of credit/credit, refund, rebates requests with relevant supporting documents
    • Manage debtor’s days within agreed targets
    • Timeous reporting
    • Communicate with internal and external customers 

    Cash flow management 

    • Provide accurate cash flow for area of responsibility 
    • Ensure timeous and accurate clearing of bank GL’s 

    Credit Limit and Terms 

    • Manage accounts within the approved credit limit and terms

    Accounts Receivable 

    • Manage debtor’s book for the area of responsibility, within approved credit limit and terms
    • Clear bank general ledger daily 
    • Reduce overdue and achieve set targets for area of responsibility 
    • Check reasons for orders on static block
    • Release orders for blocked accounts after obtaining approval in line with the DOA
    • Prepare schedule/calculation of monthly rebates, refunds, settlement discounts and credit/debit requests
    • Process monthly interest charges on customers that exceed terms as per agreed credit policy 

    Timeous query resolution 

    • Accurate customer account reconciliation
    • General administrative activities 
    • Constructive relationship with external and internal customers
    • Bad Debts Management 
    • Timeous collection within agreed payment terms
    • Compliance/Governance 
    • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures 
    • Provide accurate information to internal and external auditors
    • Provide accurate and timeous reports

    Reporting 

    • Prepare and submit reports for area of responsibility on overdue accounts
    • Prepare and submit reports for area of responsibility over term 
      accounts 
    • Compile internal management reports

    Process and system improvement 

    • Document management

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:

    • Grade 12 with Accounting/ National Diploma in Accounting 
    • 2 – 5 Year relevant experience
    • SAGE Experience beneficial
    • MS Office Proficiency
