Duties :
- Within the Scope of Practice of Clinical Psychologists: Provide specialist level clinical psychological assessments and treatments to clients of all age groups (including the promotion of mental health, early detection, and treatment and rehabilitation to minimize long-term effects). Design and implement treatment plans and critically evaluate outcomes. Provide individual, family or group psychotherapy.
- Liaise with external organizations (e.g., schools) for mental health promotion, prevention, detection, and management. Duties :
- Co-ordinate, manage and administer efficient and cost-effective psychiatric services in the General Psychiatry Unit.at the institution. Manage human resources in the clinical unit, align clinical activities with operational plan including Clinical Support and Therapeutic Services (CSTS) and support staff members.
- This includes recruitment, performance management and development, department’s workplan management and work allocation. Oversee the management of financial and other resources allocated to the clinical department. Oversee and ensure good governance in the department, clinical governance and quality assurance in the hospital.
- Perform clinical service delivery including overtime services when required. Direct multidisciplinary psychiatric teams (MDT) Manage all stakeholders’ involvement with the Clinical Department including the University, SAPS, DoJ and GDoH.
