Key responsibilities:

KPMG is investing aggressively in the Western Cape Advisory market – this led to us restarting our Digital Consulting business in the Western Cape in April 2023. We currently have three team members on the ground in Cape Town, who are supported by our national practice to service Western Cape accounts.
Our Digital Consulting business needs a strong self-driven Senior Manager, who is as passionate as us about helping clients transform their finance operations to effectively meet their organisation’s needs – whilst operating in an efficient cost-effective manner.
The role will provide you with the ability to lead various stages of a clients’ finance transformation journey, from the development of a finance strategies right through to the implementation of relevant policies, processes, organisational structures and technological solutions required to operationalise the strategy.
The role will also expect you to take a leading role in the development of our Digital Consulting business in the Western Cape overall. As such you will be expected to help identify and develop opportunities for new business across our Digital Consulting business. You will also be expected to work with team members from across the Digital Consulting business (e.g. data, technology specialists), providing mentoring and performance development to less senior team members. As a financial management specialist, you will lead the development of client-centric finance transformation proposals.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of finance & accounting transformation engagements. From visioning and target operating model development (including future state validation and deployment) to the evolution of implemented operating models;
- Interpret client requirements and co-ordinate/drive the development of proposals for finance transformation projects at clients;
- Support Partners and Associate Directors to grow the finance transformation business, through the drafting of though leadership materials, participation in marketing initiatives;
- Actively manging the development and provision of skills transfer to junior employees;
- Understand how technology enables the finance function of the future etc;
- Display diligence during the execution of any work of KPMG’s internal risk management processes at all times;
- Lead discussions around the “future of finance” and actively participate in generating creative ideas and thoughts; and Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements to apply for the role:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience working on finance transformation projects or within a finance environment;
- Financial qualification CA(SA) - preferrable; CIMA; MBA (status of qualifications in progress will be assessed); and
- Passionate about working on finance transformation projects or accounting support related projects.
- Able to work in Cape Town and across South Africa as the business requires
