    Group Account Manager

    Job Description:

    Own strategic customer relationship to boost profitable category growth with Customers, in line with our ambitions by Negotiating Joint Business Plans, leveraging all relevant customer stakeholders and internal processes. Getting these Plans executed effectively through the customer and operations teams. Delivering growth for Mars and target business shape in line with the growth agenda.     What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor degree or Diploma - Marketing or Business related degree 
    • 10 years’ experience as National Key Account Manager in FMCG or other such related roles

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Be category partner of choice with the customers 
    • Own customer plans/Joint Business plans with account to boost category growth, sales, customer market shares and margin

    • Responsible for the annual trading terms of all customers in scope 
    • Own Customer volume forecast accuracy (baseline, NPD and promo) other channels: identifying new business opportunities

    Junior Demand Planner

    Job Description:

    The Junior Demand Planner uses knowledge, experience, sales history, input from sales teams, market share data, sales systems data, customer collaboration and input on upcoming market plans to create a demand forecast. The granularity of the forecast will vary both in terms of the product and sales hierarchy. Performance should be reviewed on an ongoing basis and any risks to the forecast highlighted.

    What are we looking for?

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant tertiary qualification desirable
    • Minimum of 2 - 4 years experience in a planning role within FMCG experience is key, factory or distribution environment is an advantage

This includes but is not limited to understanding key market drivers & the development of sourcing strategies, contract negotiations and reviews, obtaining contract approvals, forecasting, value engineering, managing supplier relationships and delivering improvements in areas such as cost, cash, quality, service and innovation to meet the overall business goals and objectives.

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelors degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain or equivalent
    • 4-5 years of experience in an indirect strategic procurement environment (Indirect portfolio strategy development and execution - non-negotiable).
    • Cost modeling/formula price modeling experience

    • Experience managing multiple suppliers/service providers with varying levels of spend

    • Continually review new processes and Vendor base to ensure new supply/service provider opportunities exist.
    • Establish & maintain relationships with Finance team and departmental heads (plant manager, Pillar Heads, supply chain manager, P and O, Corporate affairs manager and others), and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of engagement considering challenges.
    • Development, implementation and monitoring of policies, governance protocols, systems & controls as well as best practices.
    • Liaise with Royal Canin Indirect Community (Regional and Global) on opportunities.
    • Participate in external forums and associations e.g., Mars Foods and Multisales South Africa Teams.
    • Carries out supplier performance reviews on a regular basis for in scope categories.
    • Determines when collaborative strategies are not possible and if a Unit approach is necessary.
    • Custodian of Contract tracker file: updating, review and monitoring of file. Follow up with relevant stakeholders in relation to contracts, contractual review and maintenance, including contract KPI/Service Level tracking and Vendor Performance reviews.
    • Onboarding of new service providers/suppliers as part of the vendor management process, in collaboration with the S&F Department.
    • Responsible for all strategic sourcing activities relating to assigned category portfolio, including but not limited to: BARS, MSSM, RFI’s/RFQ’s/RFP’s etc.
    • Work in collaboration with other regional buying managers.
    • Travel is 15 – 20% of the time (Subject to change)
    • Note: The indirect portfolio allocation is subject to change based on business operational requirements.

    Inbound Clerk

    Job Description:

    The purpose of this job is to be able to execute and support the inbound raw material and packaging process at the CAP site and ensure the process is diligently followed as per MARS procedure. The inbound clerk will be the supporting contact for all stakeholders (strategic sourcing, commercial operations, planning, quality and finance) and will support to improve MARS operational & MARS warehouse standards in the work area.

    What are we looking for?
