    Senior Compliance Officer

    What will you do?

    Compliance framework and governance:

    • Support the Head of Compliance in maintaining a robust compliance function within the business risk framework
    • Incorporate new legislation into existing frameworks and processes
    • Ensure regulatory obligations and compliance deadlines are met

    Policy and regulatory implementation:

    • Develop, update and implement compliance policies and procedures across key regulations
    • Monitor adherence to rules, policies and limits, and recommend enhancements
    • Monitoring and risk management
    • Develop and maintain Compliance Risk Monitoring Plans (CRMPs), Compliance Monitoring Plans (CMPs) and Working Papers (WPs), including defining monitoring scope and frequency

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Success in this role requires solid compliance experience within financial services, with a strong understanding of financial markets, instruments and the regulatory landscape. You bring deep working knowledge of key legislation, particularly FAIS and JSE requirements, and are comfortable operating across CAT I and CAT II FSP environments, applying regulation practically within a business context rather than purely theoretically.
    • You have the credibility and professional grounding expected of a senior role, including relevant industry exposure and ideally professional affiliation or certification in compliance. You are able to operate independently in a high-accountability environment, using strong analytical thinking and judgement to interpret regulation, manage risk and meet regulatory deadlines.

    Qualification and experience

    • B Com (Law), LLB or similar FSCA recognised qualification

    Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor - Stanger

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    To promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s products and increase market share through:

    • Providing sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a Branch context.
    • Creating opportunities for client optimisation and cross selling of value-added services.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sales delivery

    • Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
    • Gain an understanding of the customer’s needs, financial goals and means, and provide the right product (or selection of products) that will satisfy the goals of the customer in the best and most affordable way possible.
    • Continuously update and inform customers of new products, or changes in existing products. Manage, review, and incorporate the implications of product changes on the customer’s portfolio accordingly.

    Human Capital Business Partner

    What will you do?

    • This role is responsible for supporting the business unit in all human capital matters, including implementing the human capital plans and programmes that support the management of talent within the business unit where it operates.     • Keep abreast of all Human Capital policies and policy changes and ensure that business and employees are aware and have a good understanding of the Sanlam HC policies, driving and monitoring adherence to policies.

    Talent management 

    • Drive the execution of leadership and development programmes, namely programmes for new talent (internships, graduates, bursaries, youth), development, upskilling and reskilling programmes, including, but not limited to, leadership skills, skills of the future, soft skills, technical skills, product training, by: facilitating the programme execution processes; engaging with the Talent and L&D CoEs to ensure training content is curated and available on the training platforms; liaising and coordinating training through external providers; and monitoring the execution and effectiveness of implemented programmes.
    • Facilitate the talent management and review processes, as well as career and performance management processes with business, in line with the defined frameworks and guidelines, to ensure that the processes are completed effectively and talent identification, classification and performance is done in adherence to Sanlam’s talent and performance frameworks.

    IT Governance Lead

    What will you do?

    • The position of IT governance lead operates at the intersection of governance, architecture, security, risk and delivery. Working closely with enterprise architects, solution architects, development teams, operational IT teams, IT leadership, security practitioners, business information security officer (BISO) and business stakeholders, the role is instrumental in ensuring IT governance policies, standards and guidelines are effectively implemented, adopted and operationalised across the Cluster and Business Units.
    • Key to the success of this position is maintaining strong alignment to enterprise strategy, regulatory expectations and broader (Sanlam) Group governance standards, while applying a pragmatic and enablement‑focused approach to governance implementation.
    • From a leadership and governance perspective, the role includes the implementation and facilitation of governance forums, preparation and presentation of governance reporting, and active participation in Group, Cluster and Business Unit governance and assurance bodies. The role provides governance input, advice and implementation support to demonstrate effective control design, operation and evidence within the SI and broader Sanlam environment.
    • From a security governance perspective, the role supports the Information Security Officer (BISO) by coordinating and enabling the implementation of security‑related requirements and roadmap items spanning technology, data and cyber security. This includes translating Group security direction into executable actions, supporting compliance activities, and contributing to governance oversight within project and delivery environments.
