    Maintenance Operator

    ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • This Maintenance Operator will be supporting the Maintenance Team by providing effective equipment maintenance assistance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, to increase stability and maintain sustainability of equipment.

    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    • Complete job specific task/checklist accurately.
    • Visual inspection of working environment ensuring safety standards are adhered to and reporting any unsafe conditions to superior.
    • Application of job specific SOP's and COP's to ensure housekeeping standards are upheld.
    • Function efficiently and effectively as part of a team to work towards achieving team goals.
    • Sensitive on how your actions affect the cost of your team, identify and act on cost saving initiatives.
    • Report all task activities.

    Princ Operator Mining Ops

    Purpose of Job

    • A principal Driller must ensure that work standards are met according to clients’ requirements, must be able to comply to the mine health and safety act. Acting as a Rig manager from time to time when required ensuring the smooth operations of the rig. Manage all employees and service providers on site.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Previous experience in a Directional Drilling environment would be advantageous.
    • Be able to read and interpret a geology plans.
    • Control of drilling and directional drilling systems.
    • Taking important independent decisions regarding drilling activities.
    • Interpret path-tracker information and plot it on site plan and Excels spreadsheets
    • Keeping of records and generating shift reports.
    • Do regular risk assessment or SLAM.
    • Be able to calculate borehole position relative to Rig collar elevation.
    • Inspection and basic maintenance of equipment.
    • Empower team members to achieve results through task ownership.
    • Responsible for personnel training and development.
    • Must be able to achieve all QCDSM KPI’s agreed upon in the business unit.
    • Be able operate all drill rig equipment.
    • Be able to coordinates all rig moves and turns effectively.

    Licences

    • Valid Driver's Licenses

    Formal Education

    • National Senior Certificate / N3 Mathematics and Science 
    • Formal tertiary qualification in engineering, drilling, geology and Colin Rice training or mining would be advantageous. 
    • Valid Red Ticket and First Aid Certificate 

    Experience:

    • Experience in organizing activities in a drilling environment
    • Experience in a production environment.

    Maintenance & Eng Planner

    Purpose of Job

    • To provide continuous input and support into maintenance, refurbishment, and project planning activities applicable to various business units.
    • To apply the planning principles at an operation level following the Work Management Process (WMP).

    Key Accountabilities

    • Successful execution of overhaul/ maintenance program – plan vs actual
    • Work Management Process (WMP) KPI’s reporting
    • Schedule compliance to Work Management Process (WMP)
    • Accurate asset and sub-assembly life cycle data

    • Perform SAP transactions (Plant Maintenance)

    Spec Artisan Diesel Mechanic

    Purpose of Job

    • To observe operation of automotive machines and verify conformance to specifications and quality standards to meet production targets.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Adhere to all safety regulations and work standards.
    • Carry out planned maintenance activities to Diesel equipment and vehicles.
    • Conduct basic risk assessments on task to be performed.
    • Conduct fault-finding and identify equipment failure modes by applying basic asset management principles.
    • Apply the basic reliability engineering principles (MTBF, basic failure trending, understand the
    • link between failures and maintenance strategies).
    • Be able to accurately scope parts and services required to conduct equipment / vehicle maintenance as per end user’s request.

    QA/QC Assistant Civil Eng Maintenance

    Purpose of Job

    • To ensure that the technical QA/QC fields of expertise in Civil Engineering Maintenance are executed according to the specifications and agreed scope of work. Verification of quality and quantity of service delivered safely by service providers through term agreements. Provide support to QA/QC Officers – Civil Engineering Maintenance and Specialists. Provide advice and guidance to  Business Partners or End Users (e.g. Sasol energy operation and Sasol mining) in areas of technical fields of expertise. Execution of shutdown and maintenance work. Assist in maintenance project execution. The scope typically includes but is not limited to the following:
    • structural concrete,
    • structural steel,
    • earthworks and excavation,
    • roads and storm water maintenance.

    • bulk network maintenance of potable water and domestic sewer systems and  other municipal services.
