    Environmental Officer, C5, MMS041/24GS

    The role:

    To execute environmental assessments, inspections, monitoring and interrogation of monitoring results in line with all relevant statutory and company requirements. Report on any deviations or opportunities identified. Assist with the preparation of reports, the analysis of data and engaging authorities and service providers.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Track compliance to permits, licenses and authorisations to ensure that the operation meets its licence to operate obligations
    • Log any non-conformances with the environmental management program on the event management system and escalate to line
    • Ensure accurate and timeous preparation and submission of internal environmental monitoring and inspection reports
    • Assist the Environmental Specialist with the accurate and timeous reporting of all required company and legal environmental information
    • Support the Environmental Superintendent and line management in the development of environmentally related policies, standards and procedures
    • Attend and provide input on environmental issues in mine planning meetings. Ensure that there are no deviations from EIA commitments and license conditions
    • Develop and execute environmental awareness programmes
    • Support liaison with environmental regulatory authorities with regards to reporting, auditing activities and closing out directives issued
    • Collaborate with line management and employees on addressing any shortcomings or non-conformances identified. Advise line on mitigation measures and track preventative and corrective actions to completion
    • Provide first line support to external environmental service providers and consultants With regard to site access, logistics, quality assurance on work outputs, etc
    • Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections and audits on air, water, land, biodiversity and rehabilitation as per environmental management plan requirements
    • Capture and maintain environmental monitoring results and environmental information in the computerised environmental management system (Isometrix)
    • Contribute to and/or facilitate environmental event investigations and the development and implementation of preventative and/or corrective actions
    • Assist in the development, control and monitoring of capital and operating budgets for the environmental function at the operation

    Requirements:

    • MSc – no experience or Honours / BSc / BTech in Natural / Environmental Science or related field – 18 months to 3 years internship or similar relevant experience in environmental management

    • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

    Financial Controller, D4, SON MMS035/24GS

    The role:

    The purpose of this role is to coordinate, manage and execute financial accounting and reporting processes including period end closes, statistical and statutory reporting, transactional accounting, internal and external audit, and preparation of Annual Financial Statement.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Accountability for the execution of Business level financial reporting processes
    • Facilitating the development of budgets and managing the monthly forecasts

    Senior Strata Control Officer, D1, NDC052/24GS (Fixed Term)

    The role:

    • To ensure compliance to mine standards and COP’s with regards to Strata Control.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Comply with and ensure adherence to safety regulations
    • Adhere to corporate governance implementation
    • Conduct Inspections of roof quality

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Strategy, you will play a key role in the financial analysis, strategic investment, and operational execution of renewable energy projects.

    Key responsibilities include:
    DEVELOPMENT OF CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

    • Project manage the development and implementation of the company's overall strategic plan. Collaborate with the executive team to define long-term goals, market positioning, and growth strategies aligned with the company's mission and vision.
    • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential opportunities, and competitive threats within the renewable energy industry. Provide insights and recommendations to seize competitive advantages and stay ahead of the curve.
    • Identify and evaluate potential business partnerships, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions opportunities. Assess strategic fit, conduct due diligence, and negotiate terms to drive expansion and diversification efforts.
    • Analyse and assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact the company's strategic objectives. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to safeguard the company's interests.
    • Stay abreast of changes in renewable energy policies, regulations, and government incentives. Anticipate their impact on the business and advise on compliance strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

    STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

    • Provide leadership and mentorship within the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Lead the engagements with the various financial institutions with regards to capital raising and capital allocation within the various Seriti Green projects. Engage in stakeholder management and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and partners.
    • Lead the financial modelling and analysis for renewable energy projects, incorporating various financial and revenue structures such as equity, debt financing, grants, and power purchase agreements (PPAs).
    • Perform in-depth project valuation, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment for new and ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with Seriti Green's strategic goals.
    • Actively participate in PPA formulation and direct engage, along with the business development team, with offtake clients.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of Seriti Green's 3-year rolling business plan and long-term strategic objectives.
    • Oversee due diligence processes, transaction management, and portfolio management of renewable energy investments.

    NEGOTIATING STRATEGIES

    • Work closely with our various financing parties, to ensure market-leading finance offerings.
    • Internal stakeholder management across the Seriti Group and within Seriti Green.
    • Liaise with external legal advisors to develop and maintain proforma agreements.

    Education & Experience

    • Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) or CFA, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate/project finance, preferably in the international renewables sector.
    • Project finance experience preferable
    • Advanced financial modelling skills and expertise in Excel.
    • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and their financial implications.
    • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managing diverse teams and stakeholders.

    Project Controller Engineering

    The Role

    The purpose of this role is to assume responsibility for program and risk management of the project as well as overall project planning reporting. They will also contribute to the improvement of project management methods and processes within the Construction Business.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • To manage the project control resources required to deliver a cross functional engineering project.
    • To support the project with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement.
    • Minimise disputes and claims by pro-active communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Developing and managing the baseline schedule, monitoring and reporting on project performance, controlling changes to the baseline, managing project risks, and providing guidance and tools for earned value management.
    • Providing advice and consultation on the implementation of good planning procedures and controls. This covers information on earned value management, cost and schedule variance analysis, completion estimations, and critical path analysis. They help the project team make informed decisions and keep control of the project by providing experience in these areas. Support programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimisation, and project controls best practices.
    • Assists program integration initiatives by building governance structures, defining formats and standards, optimizing project planning, and encouraging best practices in project controls. Endeavor to ensure that diverse program components are seamlessly integrated and that defined project controls protocols are followed.
    • Support and advise on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects.
    • Support the development of integrated master schedules for specific programmes in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple contractors’ schedules and feed changes to the integrated master schedule.
    • Monitor and control programme compliance in respect of the various contractual obligations

     Additional responsibilities:

    • Ensuring the Project controls function produce weekly / monthly reports in line with the project and company reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances.
    • Ensure that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.
    • Manage governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for the agreed Scope of Work across integrated programmes managed across multiple suppliers.
    • Support and advise on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects
    • Support the development of requirements for specific resource-loaded schedules.
    • Work closely with the Project Manager, commercial manager and other team members to maximise the potential of the project

    Education & Experience:

    • Technical/Commercial related tertiary qualification, preferably Quantity Surveying or Engineering
    • 5 years of experience in construction project management, including planning/scheduling, cost management, contract management, change management: preferably in renewable energy industries
    • Ability to lead project controls effort within an operational area of the business to meet organizational objectives
    • Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and project Coding structures and ability to implement cost management work processes on projects
    • Comprehensive understanding of construction estimating methodologies.
    • Comprehensive understanding of risk management
    • Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environment.
    • Advanced MS Excel.
    • Software systems and packages including Primavera P6 or MS Project
    • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
