Job Purpose

• The purpose of the role is to maintain, develop, troubleshoot, and provision enterprise level IT systems which include 200+ servers and network devices along with various supporting technologies efficiently and effectively. This includes working in a fast-pace environment driving performance and reliability from software, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure
• Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice and data infrastructure
• Provide direction and supervision of suppliers and partners on the design, implementation and upgrade of voice, video, and data systems in central and remote offices
• Serve as one of the primary points of contact for service providers and coordinate design, provisioning, installation, and troubleshooting
• Manage and monitor the the server infrastructure based primarily on Microsoft (Hyper-V), Nutanix, Dell, Veeam and other technologies
• Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations
• Configure, maintain, and report on backup system and ensure that all jobs including replication between sites are successful
• Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
• Assist with the automation of tasks via available technologies e.g. PowerShell
• Mentor and educate IT and other staff on the operation and configuration of systems and networks
• Ensure deployment standards are followed
• Participate in the on-call schedule for off-hours support of key systems
• Evaluate new technologies and platforms to determine their applicability to solving business challenges and needs
• Be involved with special projects and technology initiatives as required

 Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure and core environments.
• Excellent people skills
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot servers and network Devices along with other on-premise and cloud services.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience 

• 3+ years or more experience in Information Technology.
• 3+ years’ experience designing, implementing and maintaining voice-capable TCP/IP networks using Cisco or other enterprise-class equipment.
• 3+ hands on experience in managing infrastructure operational environments.
• Managing vendors and suppliers
• Experience managing a Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory and Exchange Online environment.
• Experience managing cloud technologies specifically Microsoft Azure and Office365 including Mimecast.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell.
• Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications 

• Relevant Technical IT Qualifications
  (MCSE, CCNA, VMCE etc.)
