    Technical Officer

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • N4 Certificate – Civil (Construction) will serve as an added advantage.
    • A National Trade Certificate in Building or equivalent will serve as an added advantage.
    • 2 years experience in building construction.
    • Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office.
    • Code EB driver’s licence is required but a C1 driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
    • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and other relevant pieces of legislation.
    • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Must be willing to work irregular hours.
    • Proven project management skills will serve as an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

    • To execute and supervise trade-related work such as repairs or maintenance to buildings structures, services, roads and equipment;
    • Experience in bulk water reticulation systems, reservoirs, pumps and related control equipment, Sewer systems, septic tanks, soak-aways pumps and related control equipment, electrical installations and cable networks, repairs, storage and safety requirements.
    • To investigate and resolve problems that are of a technical nature;
    • To liaise with trade representatives/specialists;
    • Perform administrative-related tasks of the section including budget control as well as ordering of materials/parts;
    • Provide technical support to all Park related projects in the absence of a project manager,
    • Manage adhoc funded projects in the Park
    • Work closely with contractors or project managers when the need arises;
    • To ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements;
    • To maintain tools/machinery, equipment and materials to optimise the functionality, and
    • To ensure compliance with SABS buildings regulations on all maintenance constructions.

    Cluster Manager (Biodiversity Social Projects)

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or BTech Conservation or Environmental Management
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in invasive alien plant clearing is essential for this position
    • 3 – 5 years experience in health and safety management and compliance
    • Working knowledge of relevant biodiversity legislation, health & safety, and EPWP requirements.
    • Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
    • Good written and verbal communication in English.
    • Willingness to work long and irregular hours as well as extensive travelling.
    • Sound organisational, administrative and negotiation skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitoring of project deliverables according to approved plans
    • Ensuring operational planning of biodiversity social projects in the cluster
    • Managing implementation and administration of policies, strategies and budgets according to annual performance plans and relevant legislation.
    • Ensuring compliance with legal, policy and contractual agreements pertaining to the programmes & projects in the region.
    • Ensuring financial, budget and procurement management inclusive of all audit and reporting requirements.
    • Implement effective Human Resources Management, inclusive of the training responsibilities of the EPWP projects.
    • Administration and database management to meet reporting requirements of external and internal stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain good communication and relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ensure SHEQ compliance of all projects and compile monthly reports
    • Ensure all relevant data is captured for the projects
    • Compile monthly progress reports
    • Conduct internal audits and assessments on all projects in the cluster

    Personal Assistant

    Requirements

    • National Diploma and /or Degree in Business Administration, Office Management and /or related field.
    • 3 years experience as a Personal Assistant at management level and exposed to generic administrative work.
    • Must be computer literate: Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (e-mail).

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Conservation or Environmental Management/Environmental Science
    • Minimum of 2 years of proven project management experience
    • 2 – 3 Years’s experience in rehabilitation techniques is essential for this position and or
    • 2 – 3 Years’s experience in invasive alien plant clearing is essential for this position
    • 2 – 3 Years’ experience in health and safety management and compliance
    • Computer literacy in MS Office packages
    • Code 08 driver’s license

    Responsibilities

    • Operational planning and assist with strategic planning for the project
    • Managing the projects according to organisational standards
    • Managing human resources and logistics within the project
    • Management of administrative and financial processes of the project
    • Communication and liaison with stakeholders
    • Compilation of weekly and monthly reports
    • Monthly SHEQ compliance and reporting
    • Conduct self-assessments and prepare project audits
    • Ensure mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities

    Fleet Manager (Re-advertisement)

    Requirements

    • A minimum of National Diploma in Road Transport/ Fleet Management or Logistics
    • A Degree in Fleet Management/ Logistics/ Road Transport will be an added advantage
    • 5 years of experience in the fleet/transport management environment, 2 years of those at management level
    • Experience in achieving optimal utilisation of the fleet.
    • Knowledge of current fleet management guidelines and legislation (Road Traffic Act and Regulations)

    Responsibilities

    • To ensure optimal and cost-effective utilization of vehicles, plant and equipment.
    • To ensure all vehicle transport activities, comply with SANParks Standards, SOPs, OHS, SABS, Road Transport Act and Road Traffic Act and Regulations.
    • To manage the asset, register through acquisition, transfers, and disposal of vehicles for Kruger National Park.
    • To manage vehicle fleet-related stakeholder relations and applicable contracts.
    • To oversee the implementation of the Fleet Management SOP and strategy for KNP
    • To manage the vehicle fleet system, inter-dependencies, and risk mitigation.
    • To manage the fleet management budget and monitor expenditures for KNP.
    • To ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying current user trends.
