Job Description    

• We are looking for a detail conscious Stock Control Clerk tjoin the Truworths Stock Control team on a fixed-term contract.
• The Stock Control Clerk is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of certain functions with the Stock Control Department. They need tensure stock control stability within Truworths for all South African and International stores, Head Office and the Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities    
Developing, implementing and communicating sound admin procedures tstores, working in close relationship with the Field, ISD, Stock Control and Internal Audit tensure that the following are adhered to:

• Accurate stock take results are reported
• Essential stock controls are adhered to
• Ensure that the reporting of stock information is accurate and timeous, and within the interests of the business
• Plan and co-ordinate all stock takes for the business
• Assist with daily/weekly/monthly reporting
• Resolving store related stock queries
• Following up on outstanding stock deliveries
• Analyse administrative documents on a daily basis
• Audit Analysis: Compilation of audits analysis done in stores tdetermine trends and concerns.
• Perform stock control month end, financial and year end balancing

Qualifications and Experience    
Qualifications

• Matric
• BCom or equivalent qualification advantageous

Experience/Knowledge

• Previous retail store experience
• Experience in trouble shooting & problem solving techniques
• Knowledge of Inventory applications

Job Description    

• Based at our Head Office in Cape Town, this position requires that you to find innovative ways to leverage the vast amount of data and information at your disposal to create customer strategies that drive up profit within constraints. Work within the Risk and Analytics department to enhance Truworths’ company performance by providing information, analyses, reports and technical support for the development and implementation of strategic solutions. Must have a broad range of experience.

Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead a team of analysts to design build and track credit and loyalty optimisation strategies to grow profit within constraints set by the board.
• Work closely with a broad range of colleagues to identify ideas/opportunities, explore which have merit and then build a testing framework to learn what works best and roll-out to the business.
• Present new strategies with expected outcomes to the board / senior executive management with recommendations on how to test these on the portfolio

Qualifications and Experience    
Qualification/s:

• Bachelor of Business Science or Commerce Degree preferred

Experience / Knowledge:

• 8+ years in retail credit, ideally store card.
• Candidate has personal experience in building predictive models for example, credit scorecards and/or marketing response models and/or propensity score and/or machine learning models.(Mandatory)
• Experience in analytics programming language highly advantageous e.g., SAS, Python, R
• Experience in using predictive models in a framework to balance costs with revenue to drive profit.
• Project manage the implementation of strategy changes into live systems
• Coding (Retailer experience)
• Mathematical optimization experience highly advantageous
