    IT Technician (Lab) - (1333)

    Requirements

    • Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education with three (3) years relevant working experience or three-year (3) National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education with four (4) years relevant working experience with strong ICT related competencies which also includes ICT support and administration.
    • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills working with desktop and notebook computers and printers in a network environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of installing, repairing, and supporting current versions of Windows operating systems.
    • Experience in setting up and supporting Windows environment, networking, computer hardware, printer maintenance and different applications.
    • Ability to work with ICT and computer laboratory users.  
    • Strong oral communication skills and good working relations with users and IT technical staff.

    Duties

    • IT Technician – Computer Laboratories provides ICT-related support to computer laboratories, ICT Technical Staff, and computer laboratory users.
    • They also offer technical ICT and user support to the University community.
    • This includes installing, upgrading, troubling, and/or repairing both hardware and software of standalone and networked PCs, tablets PCs, laptops, desktop computers, printers, scanners and copiers.

    In addition to the above,

    • Contributes to the planning and implementing digital transformation projects in the institution.
    • Contributes to developing, reviewing and implementing ICT-related policies and processes in alignment with best practices.
    • Supervises student assistants and interns. Hence, this role also ensures effective and efficient supporting, mentoring, and coaching of student assistants and interns.

    Assistant Credit Controller - (1337)

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Finance, Accounting or similar qualification with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Credit Control, Accounts receivables and billing and financial services or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar qualification with minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Credit Control, Accounts receivables and billing and financial services. 

    Duties:

    • Assist in the management of both student and sundry receivables within the University. The key target of the position is to reduce the risk and increase collections on outstanding funds owed to the institution.
    • In addition, the assistant credit controller will aid in the establishment of policies that promote quality customer service and best practices while ensuring customers' payments are collected on time.
    • Sundry debtors’ management within the portfolio would include issuing and following up on Sundry invoices and payments.
    • Facilitate other sources of student funding undertakings (Loans, etc.) through university-approved financial services partners.
    • Work with the University approved debt collection agencies to reduce current and historical debt
    • Facilitate the administration and implementation of debit orders for monthly student payments 
    • Preparation of monthly management reports and assist in the AFS Lead Schedule preparations
