Job Description
What you’ll do:
You will assist the Reconciliations Coordinator in providing an effective, accurate and compliant inter-company and payroll reconciliations for Anglo American BU’s (Kumba, Coal, Platinum, AOL, Singapore)

Your key responsibilities will include the following:
You will be required to complete the following activities in accordance with agreed service levels:

• The incumbent must ensure that the integrity of the general ledger is maintained through the completion of all reconciliations with special note on overdue item on a monthly basis.
• Take full responsibility for authorising all journal entries from the reconciliation’s accountant.
• Ensure all inter-company transactions are duly entered into the appropriate ledgers in a timely manner, maintenance entries are undertaken as required and monthly inter-company balances are agreed.
• Ensure all payroll transactions are duly entered into the appropriate ledgers in a timely manner, maintenance entries are undertaken as required and monthly payroll balances are agreed to source by way of 3rd party statement and payroll output reports.
• Review the reconciliation of the income statement employee expenses to the payroll output reports with special attention to reconciling items.
• Review all relevant statutory and regulatory returns done by payroll execution.
• Look for opportunities to automate tasks using robotic process automation and give guidance on automation opportunities to team as well as standardisation and work across Global Shared Services.
• Review of non-routine transactions.
• Review KPI reports per the Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
• Risk Management by ensuring critical controls are in place and monthly sign off of control environment.
• Review deviations from KPI's and advise the Reconciliations coordinator.
• Follow up and ensure that audit findings are resolved.
• Review statutory notes and schedules for input to upstream reporting and financial statements.
• Review of basic web forms from the Reconciliations accountant
• Review of service level agreements and propose changes when relevant.
• Collaboration with the RPA Process Controller in management of the RPA
   

Qualifications

• BCompt Degree
• An Honors degree will be preferable
• Must have 5 years in a Corporate finance position
• Solid Reconciliations experience
• Must have managed people for at least 3 years
• Be able to manage difficult people
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Solid Accounting background
• Ability to apply best practoce adhere to SOP

Job Description
What you'll do:
Responsible for documenting, designing and optimising business processes using automation technologies. Ensure rapid enablement of automated processes while delivering quality, reliability and reduction of manual work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate workshops to gather information by collaborating with business partners to craft processes that deliver optimal results with minimal user effort.
• Apply critical thinking to pre-empt potential errors by identifying dependencies across the process value chain.
• Participate in design, development, testing and deployment, working with IM and other appropriate stakeholders to successfully implement and demonstrably improve the process.
• Document test scenarios and test plans for RPA.
• Provide support to operational teams pre, during and post BOT implementation.
• Complete end to end quality control - post implementation reviews.
• Implements automation solutions to facilitate integration across Regions
• Drive the adoption of automation tools with Operational teams
• Supports the successful transition of solutions to the business for on-going maintenance, operational management and continued improvement
• Create and maintain the BOT library.
• Participate in troubleshooting of issues relating to the process automation in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Monitor BOT performance.
• Monitor IT system changes
• Ensure all automation initiatives are aligned to the disaster recovery plan.
  
   

Qualifications

• BCom Degree in Information Systems or a related qualification
• Business Analysis Certification – (advantageous)
• 2-3 years’ Business Analysis experience with expertise in Automation
• Experience with RPA, Power Apps or any automation capability
• Process Mapping experience – Visio, Aris etc.
• Understanding of automation capabilities, business processing, analytics and the core fundamentals of automation solutions
• Experience in Machine Learning, AI, SAP ECC, S4 Hana – (advantageous)
• Experience with Process Reengineering – (advantageous)
• Travel will be required for this opportunity – 25% both nationally and internationally
