    Business Development Analyst

    • The Business Development Analyst offers the opportunity to work on strategic projects that shape the future of the Group. You will analyse investments, evaluate mergers and acquisitions, design incentive structures, and produce insightful reports for senior leadership. 
    • The AVI Business Development team is responsible for identifying, negotiating and concluding mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for the Group and undertaking ongoing commercial and diagnostic analyses of all aspects of AVI’s business operations. 
    • It is expected that the incumbent will be able to interact effectively with a diverse range of people across AVI’s operations. The role has a high profile and requires promoting AVI’s values and culture in these interactions. In a small office environment based in Illovo, Johannesburg, the role will require a hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in the detail as well as interact at senior levels. 

    Reporting Structure:

    Reports to: Business Development Manager 

    Key Areas of Impact:

    • Analysing and evaluating major capital projects.
    • Assessing potential mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic opportunities.
    • Conducting detailed valuations, including share and phantom options.
    • Reviewing business unit performance to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
    • Designing and evaluating employee remuneration and incentive schemes.
    • Producing high-quality financial models and Board/Committee reports.
    • Supporting Group-wide strategic projects with analytical and commercial insight.

    What It Takes to Succeed:

    Experience that set you up for success:

    • At least 2 years’ post-articles experience in consulting, corporate finance, private equity, structured finance, or business development, OR
    • 5 years’ experience in consulting, corporate finance, private equity, structured finance, or business development 

    Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

    • Postgraduate qualification in finance, CFA, CA(SA) or MBA preferred. 

    Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

    • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel
    • Advanced PowerPoint presentation ability.

    Road Technician Level 3

    • An exciting opportunity exists for a Road Technician Level 3 at CIRO in Epping, Cape Town. 

    Line Manager: Technical Supervisor

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    • Repair Faulty Equipment
    • Fault Finding – Intermediate to Advanced – mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & software related
    • Testing all equipment to ensure it is mechanically, aesthetically, and functionally acceptable
    • Calibrating and or programming of equipment to ensure the right quality of coffee products is produced
    • Install Beverage Equipment & Test with Product before leaving Customer
    • Upliftment of Equipment
    • Clearly communicate Fault on Equipment & Corrective action taken to Manager on site
    • Inform field service coordinator OR technical support manager of updates or returns
    • Escalate any problems i.e. wrong address, site not ready, no product, etc. to T.S.M (Technical Supervisor) immediately
    • Phone for assistance from Internal Specialists when struggling to complete repairs/installations.
    • First time repair of equipment
    • Preventative checks & repair on equipment

    General:

    • Required to do tool checks & where applicable (Responsible for “lost” tools)
    • Perform any other tasks as instructed by the Technical Manager
    • Operational assistance and guidance to Customers on equipment
    • Groomed well and vehicle kept clean and neat to meet professional image for the business.
    • Promote company ethics and values at all times.
    • Announcing him/herself to the management of establishment with explanation for purpose of visit
    • Work overtime/Standby as required from time to time
    • Stick to route planned
    • Extensive traveling

    Technical Duties:

    • Stripping, descaling & cleaning of spares (taps, boilers, etc.)
    • Reassembling of spares & selected Equipment
    • Perform Pre-delivery inspections on Equipment
    • Fault Finding – Intermediate to Advanced, Mechanical & electrical
    • Program Machine parameters
    • Program machine settings
    • Perform basic software upgrades on equipment
    • Testing end product by tasting

    Administrative Duties:

    • Fill in Consumption sheets with Part Description & Code
    • Complete & hand in R-Calls (Return calls)
    • Complete & hand in Time Sheets
    • Complete & hand in Tool Checks
    • Complete Overtime Sheets
    • Complete Leave Applications
    • Keep Equipment Manuals/Files up to date

    S.H.E. Responsibilities:

    • Keep own work area clean, neat & safe at all times
    • Keep Work Bench, Floor Space & Shelving uncluttered & safe
    • Wear relevant protective clothing
    • Only use tools trained on & signed off by Technical Supervisor.
    • Consider the possible Risks of the activities in the Warehouse
    • Familiarize themselves with Emergency Procedures & Exit points
    • Good understanding of the risks of equipment, electrical, high temperature, pressurized vessels, sharp edges, lifting Techniques, dangerous chemicals, etc.
    • Responsible to correct & report fellow employees when in breach of rules

    • Be cost-conscious when selecting replacement spares during repairs

    Value added training visits and building credible coffee relationships

    • Announcing him/herself to management of establishment with explanation for purpose of visit Ensuring that the management of establishment is made aware of any coffee product related issues, training needs or equipment repairs
    • Ensuring the customer is aware that this service is a paid service and agrees to the invoice being issued before the training starts
    • Ensuring the customer is aware of any changes made like setting of grinders or operational guidance performed
    • Ensure customers are using Ciro products
    • Build sound business relations with the main objective to retain and builds volume throughput

    Customer Specific Ciro CORE Evaluation, Training Register & ESO (Electronic Service Order) is completed

    • Ensuring that management of establishment signs off the following documents from visit: - Ciro CORE Evaluation
    • ESO Job card with spares consumed Quote / invoice for the visit
    • Ensuring that the correct online documents are submitted and is comprehensively completed at every call as per the prescribed standard set by key accounts, training and the customer
    • Escalate any findings to Ciro management as well as keeping the customer informed of any irregularities

    Ensuring the In-Cup quality of the coffee is of the agreed standards

    • Freshness test done on all Ciro products
    • Assessing the staff at establishments to ensure that the right procedures are followed when making coffee
    • Where appropriate, ensure compliance of quality standards defined by customer HQ and report irregularities to the management of the establishment.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Experience:

    • Certification in relevant required (Skill High) coffee equipment
    • Advanced Coffee Course Certificate – advantageous
    • Basic Coffee knowledge
    • Basic knowledge of Coffee extraction through equipment variants
    • Technical service and repair experience Intermediate Electrical 220v/380v Knowledge Basic Electronic Knowledge
    • Intermediate to Advanced understanding of Multimeter
    • Logical & Methodical thinking

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / Matric essential
    • Minimum N3 Electrical qualification

    Additional Requirements:

    • Code 10 driver’s license
