    Senior Business Analyst (RPA) (JHB Illovo)

    Description

    • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and process improvement, with a solid understanding of automation technologies. You will be responsible for leading and executing RPA initiatives, gathering and analysing business requirements, and ensuring the successful implementation of RPA solutions that improve operational efficiency.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities
    Business Analysis: 

    • Engage with key stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for process improvement initiatives.
    • Identify and analyse business processes, identify pain points, and propose automation solutions.
    • Conduct detailed data analysis, create user stories, use cases, and process flows.
    • Support cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and translated into technical specifications.

    RPA Strategy and Implementation: 

    • Lead RPA initiatives, from identifying automation opportunities to solution design, development, and implementation.
    • Design RPA workflows that align with business objectives.
    • Coordinate the implementation of RPA solutions to ensure they are effective, scalable, and efficient.
    • Develop and maintain RPA process documentation, including process maps, configuration documents, PDD’s, SDD’s and test scripts.
    • Manage the post-deployment process to ensure automation is working effectively and continuously improve the solutions.

    Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: 

    • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and development teams.
    • Provide expert advice and support on process and RPA-related issues.
    • Deliver training and support to end-users regarding tools and processes.

    Continuous Improvement: 

    • Continuously analyse business processes to identify further automation opportunities and areas for optimization.
    • Stay current with RPA trends, technologies, and best practices to implement cutting-edge solutions.
    • Monitor the performance of automated processes, identifying any issues and working to resolve them.

    Reporting and Metrics: 

    • Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics related to RPA automation.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the progress, results, and impact of RPA initiatives

    Requirements
    Qualifications/Recognition of Prior Learning equivalent

    • Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Degree in Commerce

    Work Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on process improvement and automation.
    • Experience working with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar platforms).
    • Experience in analysing complex business processes and recommending automation strategies.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects from end to end
    • Robotic Process Automation

    Knowledge

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen focus on efficiency and process improvement.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    Consultant: Supply Chain Management Advisory (JHB Illovo)

    Purpose of the role:

    • The purpose of this role is to support the design, assessment and enhancement of Supply Chain Management (SCM) frameworks, governance arrangements, policies, processes and internal controls across the procurement lifecycle. The Consultant contributes to advisory engagements through process analysis, documentation, control assessment, data analysis and the preparation of practical, implementable recommendations.

    Reporting Line:

    • Reports to: Senior Consultant / Manager and or Engagement Lead 
    • Works closely with client SCM, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance stakeholders

    Key Responsibilities:

    SCM Framework and Governance Support:

    • Assist in reviewing and analysing SCM frameworks, policies, procedures and delegations of authority.
    • Support identification of control gaps and areas for enhancement.
    • Assist in drafting or updating SCM policies, SOPs, templates and governance documents.

    Process Mapping and Control Documentation:

    • Develop end-to-end SCM process maps covering demand management, sourcing, contracting and procure-to-pay.
    • Document control activities and control objectives aligned to risks.
    • Maintain clear and defensible process narratives and control descriptions.

    Control Assessment and Testing Support:

    • Support walkthroughs and control design assessments with process owners.
    • Perform sample-based testing where required and manage supporting evidence.
    • Assist in identifying root causes and improvement opportunities.

    Data Analysis and Insights:

    • Perform Excel-based data analysis such as spend reviews, supplier analysis and exception identification.
    • Support the development of issue logs, implementation trackers and dashboards.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Advisory Support:

    • Participate in workshops and meetings with client stakeholders.
    • Prepare accurate minutes, action logs and supporting project documentation.
    • Communicate progress and issues timeously to the engagement lead.

    Project Administration and Quality:

    • Maintain project files, trackers and documentation in line with engagement methodology.
    • Ensure work is review-ready, complete and professional.
    • Adhere to confidentiality, ethical standards and firm policies.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Advantageous:

    • Exposure to SCM or procurement environments.
    • Experience in public sector or highly regulated entities.

    Senior Helpdesk Analyst (JHB Illovo)

    Description

    • The Senior Helpdesk Analyst is responsible for delivering advanced technical support and ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service across the organisation. Serving both as the first point of contact for complex issues and the escalation point for incidents requiring deeper technical expertise, the role plays a critical part in maintaining the stability, reliability, and optimisation of ICT services. The Senior Helpdesk Analyst supports the continuous improvement of Helpdesk operations, drives efficient incident resolution, and enhances service quality.     Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of BDO’s business environment and ensure all support tickets are effectively managed and resolved to minimise disruption to staff and client service delivery.
    • Manage and prioritise incoming Help Desk requests across all channels, ensuring timely, efficient incident resolution in line with agreed SLAs.
    • Act as an escalation point for Helpdesk Analysts, resolving advanced issues or coordinating escalation to 2nd and 3rd line support and external vendors when required.
    • Prioritise incidents based on business impact and urgency, ensuring clear and accurate logging, categorisation, and documentation within the ITSM system.

    • Support first-line incident resolution and correctly escalate issues requiring second or third line intervention.
    • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access changes as required, ensuring compliance with security policies.
    • Monitor and support endpoint device security, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
    • Provide technical support for meeting rooms and AV equipment to ensure seamless setup and functionality.
    • Proactively troubleshoot and analyse user issues using Nexthink, driving rapid resolution and improved user experience.
    • Embrace ongoing learning of innovative methods, including the integration of automation and artificial intelligence solutions.
    • Act as the ICT supervisor's deputy during their absence and as the designated delegate.

    Requirements

    • Qualifications/Recognition of Prior Learning equivalent A+, N+, ITIL V4 
    • NQF Level 6 IT-related Qualification or higher in Information Technology.  
    • Matric

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 10 years in a Corporate IT team providing end-user support.

    Knowledge

    • Office 365 support
    • Excellent communication and customer service ability.
    • Enterprise applications (ERP, CRM) and cloud services 
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle escalations calmly.
