    BDO Wave ACCA Supervisor - Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) (Port Elizabeth)

    Description

    • The Audit Supervisor forms part of the team overseeing the ACCA trainees working on audit engagements for BDO UK. They are responsible for ensuring that audit working papers completed by the ACCA trainees are reviewed and at the required quality standard prior to the work being reviewed by the BDO UK audit team. The Audit Supervisor is also involved with the day-to-day operations of the division, including the completion of skills reviews on LTS.     BDO WAVE Operations Administrator - Cape Town (Cape Town CBD)

    Description

    • The incumbent will be responsible for managing the resourcing requirements for the applicable individuals in BDO Wave supporting the audited entities of BDO UK, as part of the South African Extended Delivery Team. This includes monitoring staff utilisation and ensuring consistent communication with all relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will support the operational delivery of the team by performing various administrative tasks. The role requires close collaboration with both BDO UK and the BDO Wave operations team to ensure operational and resourcing requirements are effectively met. 

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    Resource Management

    • Support client in planning and managing resource allocation
    • Strategically support in planning project resources to optimise utilisation
    • Monitor forward utilisation and reduce idle time
    • Serve as primary contact for resourcing/admin matters with client
    • Resource administration: check staff schedules and liaise with planners
    • Liaise with UK resource planners regarding training dates/planning
    • Induction planning, training, and engagement allocation (Information received from HR)
    • Ensure staff list is up to date in line with info from HR on new joiners & resignations
    • Complete portion of offboarding checklist related to timesheet submissions and handover

    Reporting & Tracking

    • Prepare daily idle reports (Manage staff time where they are idle, track and reduce idle time, check that all timesheets are submitted and charged correctly)
    • Prepare weekly productivity reports
    • Analyse idle time, productivity, and utilisation reports
    • Track and manage overtime
    • Record overtime and check time booked correctly
    • Monitor timesheet submissions and assist with corrections
    • Maintain and update staff admin reports
    • Record performance awards on tracker

    Leave & Time Management

    • Track and approve staff leave
    • Update leave trackers
    • Ensure approved leave is updated on Dayshape and Workday
    • Liaise with UK when staff are unavailable or sick
    • Ensure all approved leave is submitted on Workday

    Training Logistics

    • Coordinate training logistics: venue, catering, travel, equipment, materials

    General Admin & Office Support

    • Compile minutes for meetings held
    • Provide general admin support
    • Arrange office supplies, refreshments, welcome packs etc.
    • Health & Safety Rep
    • In-office presence to foster relationships

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Project Management, Business Administration or Management qualification
    • 2+ years’ experience in operations
