    Claims Manager

    About the job

    To effectively and efficiently manage the claims department to provide superior claims service and build excellent relationships with service providers, thereby ensuring the retention and support the business strategy.

    • Take appropriate action to minimise cancellations
    • Ensure retention targets are met
    • Ensure appropriate minimisation of claims and claims expenses
    • Ensure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses
    • Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. insurer, account executive, client) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant
    • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets
    • Manage claim process end to end
    • Process and ensure all claims and recoveries are processed within the required parameters
    • Ensure effective complaint resolution within the required time lines
    • Ensure service level agreements are met
    • Follow and ensure adherence to claims settlement processes
    • Follow and ensure adherence to underwriting processes for cancellations
    • Ensure adherence to company mandates
    • Manage the compilation and distribution of reports as required
    • Utilise reports to action interventions and improvements
    • Take responsibility to ensure payments by from insurer to broker and broker to client are timely and complete
    • Inform and advise underwriters regarding underwriting risks posed to claims
    • Approve valid and complete mandated claims for payment
    • Execute regular quality assurance reviews to ensure compliancy as per the claims methodology
    • Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects
    • Report any suspected fraud, misrepresentation and/or dishonesty

    Personal Lines Underwriting Manager

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. clients, insurers etc) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant
    • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets
    • Ensure cancellations are minimized
    • Ensure retention targets are achieved
    • Ensure growth targets are achieved
    • Provide expert personal lines advice to internal and external stakeholders
    • Act as liaison between client facing and internal servicing teams to channel information, request for documentation etc.
    • Deal with service complaints or escalations and ensure that client needs are satisfied
    • Ensure that personal lines underwriting practices adhere to compliance and quality requirements
    • Conduct regular audits of personal lines underwriting to ensure high standards of quality are maintained
    • Compile, and distribute reports in order to ensure clear reporting to internal and external stakeholders
    • Use monthly reports on the department performance and address discrepancies between expectations and actual performance (new business, clients retained, client cancellation, clients per underwriter etc.)
    • Assist with the design of training material and standard operating procedures
    • Adhere to company mandates
    • Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects
    • Ensure continuous process improvement and alignment of processes with organisational goals and objectives

    Civil Engineering Technician

    Key Requirements

    • Minimum National Diploma in Civil Engineering
    • Minimum three (3) years of verifiable experience in the supervision of civil engineering infrastructure, and on-site quality control
    • Candidates with quality control experience in concrete structures, water pipelines and roads will have a preference
    • Good communication skills and must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
    • Candidates from Previous Disadvantage Groups will have a preference
    • Willing to relocate to Northern Cape
