    Account Manager - Projects

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring service delivery, and achieving commercial and operational targets for assigned accounts. The role acts as the primary link between Booyco Electronics and the client, ensuring SLA compliance, safety, and service excellence. This position is pivotal to business retention and growth, and it requires proactive issue resolution, effective communication, and the ability to create 'Raving Fans' through exceptional performance.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Matric + Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / or related technical field.
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a technical account management or client-facing role within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
    • Proven ability to manage key accounts and deliver against SLAs.
    • Strong technical knowledge of electronic/electrical systems and equipment.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and expand relationships with assigned customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
    • Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to maintain strong relationships and resolve issues proactively.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Monitor and report on account performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Drive growth by cross-selling solutions to existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
    • Compile and submit accurate month-end and quarterly client reports.
    • Maintain a minimum of 80% client satisfaction rating on feedback surveys.

    Project Manager

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of technology, engineering and operational projects across client sites and internal environments. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to agreed technical and quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with internal governance, mine site requirements and statutory regulations.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Matric and bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related filed.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (Advantage)
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.
    • At least 2 years’ experience managing projects in operational, technical or site-based environments.
    • Relevant technical exposure in mining, electronics, or industrial systems.
    • Proven experience managing multi-site or client-facing projects.
    • Mining, engineering, or technology project experience will be a strong advantage.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, manage and deliver end-to-end Booyco technology projects, including system deployments, upgrades, installations and operational initiatives.
    • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
    • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across multiple mine sites to ensure effective project execution.
    • Act as the primary project interface between Booyco Electronics, clients, internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
    • Monitor project progress, performance and milestones, proactively addressing risks, delays and operational challenges.
    • Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasts, variations and commercial inputs.
    • Ensure compliance with mine health and safety standards, statutory requirements, contractual obligations and internal policies.
    • Maintain quality assurance by ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications, standards and client requirements.
    • Plan and manage resources, capacity and utilisation to support efficient project delivery.
    • Prepare and submit accurate project reports, documentation and governance records.
    • Ensure formal project close-out, client handover and post-project reviews.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and operational standards.
