    Registered Nurse - Cape Town

    • We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee construction, renovation, and small-works projects across our Faircape Life facilities, primarily based in (Somerset West) with possible additional oversight of other projects in the southern suburbs.
    • This role calls for a hands-on professional who can coordinate multiple sites, manage contractors, and ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all construction, refurbishment, across residential units, healthcare centres, and clubhouses.

    • Implement nursing care plans in collaboration with the Nursing Service Manager and MDT
    • Adjust care plans as required

    Clinical Tasks:

    • Perform clinical functions within scope of practice, including wound care, pressure care, ostomy care, management of skin lesions, catheter care, and patient monitoring
    • Conduct regular resident rounds to ensure quality of care
    • Identify areas of concern and escalate where required
    • Ensure doctor’s prescriptions and therapy recommendations are implemented

    Risk Management:

    • Maintain effective infection control practices
    • Follow all emergency and incident management procedures

    Requirements:
    Qualifications:

    • SANC registered as a Registered Nurse
    • Up-to-date Basic Life Support certification is advantageous

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • Proven experience as a Registered Nurse
    • Experience in a geriatric environment is advantageous
    • Knowledge of Dementia care, Frail care, and Palliative care is advantageous

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Dependable and proactive
    • Good organisational and time management skills
    • Sound clinical judgement and decision-making ability
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Computer literate
