Your responsibilities

• Technical Support to Client (Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation) on OEM-Equipment Cyclones, Flotation Cells, Mills, Crushers, HPGR in the Mining Industry.
• Support Site Manager by taking leading role in execution of Contract Scope of Work and Maintenance Activities as per area of responsibility.
• Carry the responsibility of the Legal Appointment (MHSA 2.9.2) – Site Supervisor.
• Ensure the timeous, safe, efficient, and economic effective execution of the on-site work activities, in strict accordance with the Contract Scope of Works which includes client specifications, breakdown-maintenance needs and planned maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Assist Site -Manager and Safety Officer to identify and manage site risks by implementing an effective site safety system with relevant procedures.

What you bring

• Minimum Grade 12 OR N3
• Qualified Artisan
• Additional Tertiary Qualification / Instrumentation Qualification will be an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience within the mining industry
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook)
• Experience in Instrumentation fault-finding and repair will be a huge advantage
• Understanding of Software like Wonderware, Siemens will be an advantage

Purpose of the role

To ensure that accurate binning, picking, receiving, and packing of the FLSmidth product is being successfully executed accordingly to standard operating procedures

Key performance areas:

• Reading and interpreting pick and pack slips to ensure speedy quality delivery to customers.
• Set up and or operate hand and electrical tools.
• Regularly inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and adhered to at all times.
• Assist the department manager achieving departmental goals and objectives.
• Attend to all meetings as scheduled by the company and department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with OHS act, Quality Control Procedures and Product Specifications.
• Daily cycle counting and stock taking as and when required.
• Correct allocation of bin locations and binning of stock received.
• Receiving of deliveries.
• Unpack and placing part numbers on received stock.
• Filling in of Bin Cards.
• Daily Cycle counting.
• Binning of Stock.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience in a relevant fast past environment.
• Matric.
• Computer literate.
• Forklift license will be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Crane license will be an advantage
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks as needed, coupled with good planning capabilities.
• The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
• The ability to work with minimum supervision but under extreme pressure and be prepared to work extended hours.
• Declared Physical fit to handle heavy-duty e.g. lifting up to 25kg regularly and 45 kg occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, and manual dexterity.
