    Contracts Manager

    Job Description

    • RPO Recruitment's client, a leading specialist contractor within the commercial interiors, fit-out and turnkey construction sector is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Cape Town team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple commercial interior fit-out and construction projects from commencement to practical completion.
    • Oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement and subcontractor performance.
    • Manage contracts, variations, claims, valuations and commercial matters.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal project teams.
    • Monitor project progress, productivity, quality and compliance.
    • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and health & safety standards.
    • Attend and lead site, progress and coordination meetings.
    • Manage project documentation, reporting and close-out.
    • Identify and manage project risks and implement corrective measures where required.

    Requirements:

    • 10+ years’ experience in construction, with significant experience in a Contracts Manager capacity.
    • Strong experience in commercial interiors, office fit-outs, retail, tenant installations, refurbishments or similar building projects.
    • Proven experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project planning, cost control and commercial management.
    • Excellent understanding of construction methodology, quality control and health & safety requirements.
    • Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant construction/project management software.
    • Experience working on high-end commercial, corporate, retail or hospitality fit-outs.
    • Experience with turnkey project delivery.

    Senior QS

    Job Description

    • RPO Recruitment's client, a well-established contractor specialising in commercial interiors, fit-outs and turnkey construction is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the full quantity surveying function from tender stage through to project completion and final account.
    • Prepare and review BOQs, estimates, cost plans and tender documentation.
    • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting.
    • Conduct measurement and valuations of work completed.
    • Prepare, assess and negotiate variations, claims and contractual changes.
    • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts.
    • Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks and opportunities.
    • Prepare monthly commercial reports and provide accurate project cost information to management.

    Quality Control Inspector – Trainee

    Job Description

    • A reputable manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector – Trainee to join their team Vereeniging. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in quality control, good attention to detail, and experience working with inspection and measuring equipment.

    • Knowledge or experience with ISO 9001 implementation, awareness, or auditing.
    • Quality Control, Internal Auditing, or relevant certification is advantageous.
    • TQMS Diploma is advantageous.
    • Valid driver's licence.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
    • SAP experience would be advantageous.
