In this role you will be responsible for:   

• Reporting to the General Manager – Western Mines Kroondal, the incumbent will be responsible for providing a dedicated overall Mining service to Kroondal.
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives
• Have an exceptional commitment towards ensuring that departmental HSEC objectives are met.
• Ensure that production targets are met according to specified standards, policies, and procedures.
• Effective planning of short- and medium-term production activities to ensure optimum utilization of resources.

About you:

• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Metalliferous Mines
• 5 Years’ experience in a management position at an underground metalliferous mine
• Previous trackless mining experience will be advantageous.
• Ability to work successfully as part of a diverse team.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Managing mine team optimization
• Managing mine employee relations
• Good communication skills
• Managing mine administration
• Strong leadership, managerial and presentation skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Medically fit to work underground.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Conducting of weighbridge inspections at the start of the shift
• Conducting all weighbridge tests as per procedures and works instructions
• Ensure accurate weighing, record keeping and reconciliation on all materials
• Ensure effective reporting and communication of any deviations and resolution thereof
• Ensure good housekeeping standards within and around the weighbridge area at all times
• Complying to all relevant procedures, works instructions and risk assessments

About you:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Computer literate for the role including MES knowledge
• 1 year experience in a Ferrochrome Final Product and/or Raw Material environment with a sound knowledge of product/material receiving, identification, weighing and sampling

• Stock keeping of the Final Products.
• Ensuring that the correct sampling procedures as per ISO standard
• Ensure quality of the Final Products received and supplied conform to specifications.
• Ensure compliance to all HSEC systems, procedures and regulations

• Releasing of trucks on exports

About you:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Logistics Diploma or Degree will be advantageous
• 3 years’ experience in a Ferrochrome Final Product and/or Raw Material environment with a sound knowledge of product/material receiving, identification, weighing and sampling

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Operate all components of the crushing operation.
• Coordinate loading and off-loading process of the material
• Taking of samples on incoming products from MEP and Furnaces
• Remove foreign objects from belt, unblock screens, chutes and jaw crushers
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are adhered to at all times
• Adhere to all HSEC requirements
