    Product Risk Analyst

    • Joining a dynamic team, the successful incumbent will have the opportunity to gain insight into the risk department. The risk department is an independent function aiming to control front-line trading and ensure that the risk-reward of the trading books is properly understood by Glencore senior management and that the physical exposure of the business – e.g., oil cargoes, electricity generation, gas deliveries – is correctly valued. This position requires the individual to provide support and a clear, proactive approach to communication to the London Risk Managers, Senior Risk Management, and traders.

    PRIMARY TASKS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible to provide support and a clear, proactive approach to communication to the London Risk Managers, Senior Risk Management, and traders.
    • Responsible for calculating and running daily risk reports, including the desk’s P&L.
    • Assisting in the development of new and existing systems, processes, and reports.
    • To communicate results effectively with traders and senior management.
    • To proactively identify and communicate issues that may cause a surprise and ensure that reports or measurements present a reflection of this.
    • To regularly engage in discussion with London Risk Managers and Senior Risk Management.
    • Identify and present issues to the London teams, clearly and logically.
    • Any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s or Honour’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Computer Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical)

    WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Working experience and exposure of 2-3 years in same or similar environment will be highly advantageous.
    • Coding skills in VBA, Python, preferred.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Multi-tasking and excellent management of time and priorities is essential.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills that work effectively within team and different audiences at all levels.
    • High level of attention to detail and data accuracy, ensuring analysis is focused on delivering practical business benefits, often in tight deadlines.

    Coordinator (Metallurgical), Chrome

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Maintaining and adhering to the Mine Health and Safety Act.
    • The successful candidate will be reporting to the Plant Superintendent.
    • Coordinate the team of production employees.

    Coordinator (Metallurgical), PGM

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Reporting to the Plant Superintendent
    • Applicable 2.9.2 legal appointment
    • Safe and efficient operation of the PGM and PGM Feed Preparation plant/s.
    • Assisting in managing production teams and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Assist in facilitating training of production personnel.

    About you:

    • Degree in Metallurgical/ Chemical Engineering
    • MDP/MAP/PME/SLP University Certificate is an added advantage
    • At least 6 years’ experience in a mineral processing plant of which 4 years should have been in a PGM Flotation plant and in a leadership role.
    • Extensive experience and knowledge in PGM flotation.
    • Proven record of participation in fundamental research within the Platinum Concentrators.
    • Good understanding of basic process control for flotation plants.
    • Proven record of managing metallurgical / chemical engineering students and graduates while officially appointed as a plant or technical metallurgist in a big scale metallurgical operation.
    • Ability to communicate metallurgical technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Performance / Results driven, accurate and timeous completion of assignments.
    • Capable of achieving KPI’s in high work pressure environment.

    HR Services Partner

    • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our HR Services team in Johannesburg, South Africa. This role provides valuable exposure to international HR operations and the opportunity to develop skills that will support your career in Human Resources.
    • The HR Services Partner operates as part of the EMEA HR Hub, delivering high-quality and timely HR Services across multiple countries. The role operates within a global shared services framework, using standardised, documented and repeatable processes, supported by the Service Management tool (Servicely), Workday and established knowledge, checklists and workflows.
    • The role is responsible for delivering HR transactions and services in line with defined service catalogue, processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), controls and local requirements.

    HR Services Delivery

    • Deliver HR Services across the employee lifecycle for multiple countries, following standardised global processes, documented procedures, knowledge articles, checklists and workflows.
    • Manage and prioritise assigned requests and transactions through Servicely, ensuring accurate and timely action, appropriate communication and resolution within agreed SLAs.
    • Provide a consistent and professional service to employees, managers, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders through defined HR service channels.
    • Apply global processes consistently while recognising and correctly applying documented local country requirements and approved exceptions.

    Employee Lifecycle Administration

    • Deliver end-to-end onboarding and offboarding activities in accordance with documented processes, workflows and country requirements.
    • Onboarding: work with Talent Acquisition from offer acceptance; initiate and complete the hire process in Workday; coordinate required pre-employment documentation and checks; schedule induction activities; and coordinate with IT, Office Services and other relevant teams for new-joiner requirements.
    • Offboarding: process terminations in Workday within agreed timelines; coordinate required documentation and activities; ensure completion of relevant access revocation and other exit requirements.
    • Intercompany transfers: coordinate the required onboarding and offboarding activities across entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
    • Initiate and complete Workday transactions for new joiners, leavers and employee lifecycle changes in accordance with documented processes and payroll processing deadlines.
    • Ensure all required employee documentation is collected, validated and recorded in accordance with the relevant process and country requirements.

    Contracts & Employee Documentation

    • Prepare employment contracts, amendments, termination agreements and other employee documentation using approved templates, workflows and knowledge resources, ensuring compliance with global standards and documented local requirements.
    • Escalate non-standard contractual or legal matters to the Team Leader rather than independently deviating from established processes.

    Service Management, Case Resolution & Escalation

    • Manage employee and manager queries through the designated HR service channels, including Servicely
    • Monitor assigned cases through to resolution, providing clear updates and ensuring appropriate documentation of actions taken.
    • Identify cases that fall outside standard processes, require specialist input or present a potential compliance or employee-relations risk, and escalate through the defined escalation routes.
    • Contribute to the identification and resolution of recurring service issues and trends.

    Data, Controls & Payroll-Critical Activity

    • Complete Workday transactions and employee data changes accurately and within agreed payroll processing deadlines.
    • Run defined monthly and quarterly Workday reports and complete required data validation, reconciliation and quality checks.
    • Maintain data integrity through established controls, queries, audits and reporting.
    • Ensure timely completion of payroll-critical HR Services activities, including collection and validation of required documentation and follow-up on outstanding actions.

    Knowledge & Process Adherence

    • Use and maintain knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, checklists, workflows and other process documentation as the primary source of guidance for service delivery.

    Payroll Operations Partner

    • We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Operations Partner to be part of a Global HR and Payroll Services team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The HR Hub will support the HR and payroll administration for multiple Glencore offices globally. We are making a huge change to the enhance the way we deliver HR and Payroll Services to our network of global marketing and corporate offices. These offices vary in size and host employees in their front, middle and back-office roles in the marketing and corporate functions at Glencore.
    • The HR Hub is based on a shared services model and provides a portfolio of services including Payroll Operations, and HR Services. The Payroll Operations Parter will work regionally delivering the payroll operations to a cluster of locations.

    Primary Task & Key Responsibilities:

    • Own the end-to-end payroll process for countries in scope, acting as the accountable partner for payroll governance, compliance, operational controls, risk management, and the successful delivery of each payroll cycle.
    • Within the global payroll operating model, responsible for multiple payrolls operationally, which includes:
    • Ensuring that all relevant payroll related input is loaded to the outsourced service provider’s portal
    • Monitoring integration performance (payroll data from Workday to payroll services provider)
    • Adherence to the payroll processing calendar, e.g. ensuring input deadlines met
    • Validating payroll output, i.e. processing output from payroll services provider
    • Responding to queries on payroll input
