    Cost Estimator

    Job Description

    • Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for print/production jobs, including labour, materials, and external supplier pricing. The role involves working closely with production, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure cost-effective and accurate quoting.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • Diploma or relevant qualification (advantageous)
    • Minimum 2–3 years experience in a cost estimator or similar role
    • Strong numerical and analytical ability
    • Computer literacy (Excel, Word)
    • Experience with estimating systems (QuickEasy or similar advantageous)

    Core Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate cost estimates (labour, materials, production)
    • Analyse job specifications and determine most cost-effective approach
    • Liaise with production team and suppliers
    • Source and compare supplier quotations
    • Issue purchase orders for external services
    • Monitor cost efficiency and identify savings opportunities
    • Revise estimates based on changes in specifications
    • Maintain accurate records and estimating procedures

    Job Description

    • Supports the Cost Estimator in preparing cost estimates, pricing jobs, and coordinating production requirements. This is a junior role with a strong focus on learning and development within a production/print environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Responsible for sourcing, matching, and closing commercial and industrial property transactions within the Cape Town CBD. This is a sales-driven role focused on building a client base, generating leads, and facilitating leasing and sales deals.
