    Position Purpose

    Customer Service and Sales

    • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, across all sections of the Chocolate Shop and over the phone

    Sales Executive [Johannesburg]

    Position Purpose

    • Achieve Quarterly & yearly Sales budgets
    • Ensuring that expense budgets as set are not exceeded
    • Ensure that all expected call rate of 8 calls per day is maintained

    Area Manager (Western Cape)

    Position Purpose

    • To, implement and manage all aspects of operations for the portfolio of Lindt Chocolate Stores. Build a dynamic culture of Lindt ambassadors who deliver a world class customer experience, whilst achieving operational efficiencies and profitability. Ensure operational excellence in people management, recruitment, retention & succession planning, training & development, hygiene & food safety, WH&S, and achievement of budgets and sales targets. 

    Key Responsibilities

    Effective Leadership

    Hygiene and Food Safety 

    • Ensure that all products sold in the Stores reflect the Lindt quality standards
    • Ensure OHASA standards are strictly observed to Lindt South Africa standards
    • Prepare for, and provide actions to internal audits to ensure compliance

    Training & development

    • Actively assess training and development needs of direct reports
    • Prepare and deliver on training plans for direct reports
    • Oversee training and development of Store teams, encouraging talent pipeline 
    • Manage and oversee the Talent Management Program 
    • Develop a long-term training strategy and plan implementation for new and existing   employees.

    People and Performance Management

    • Manage and advise on people management to build a culture of high performance
    • Prepare monthly people reviews for succession planning
    • Oversee and advise on recruitment and selection of regional team members
    • Develop a sound working knowledge of the Labor Law governing employees’ employment ensuring compliance

    Administration

    • Undertake regular on-site visits to all Stores.
    • Conduct internal audits and prepare reports and action plans to ensure compliance and improvements
    • Create documents and templates to support administration functions and controls 
    • Work closely with the Head/Director of Retail to ensure the best possible role-out of the marketing plan in stores for both seasonal and core products.
    • Ensure Lindt Internal Control Systems are being followed by all Stores
    • Professional handling of customer complaints within 24 hours. Oversee Store Manager’s response to customer complaints
    • Hold regular formal & informal Store team meetings
    • Supervising and coordinating team movement across Stores in accordance with the business requirements

    Incentive Program

    • Develop and implement incentive programs for all Store employees and measure effectiveness.
    • Analyze daily sales figures for Stores and compare to forecasted figures. Provide sales information to staff and utilize in incentive programs.
    • Participate in setting of targets & contribute to action plan to achieve these targets.
    • Analyze the complete stock control/inventory management system in order to minimize stock wastage and discrepancies.  Provide monthly report on stock discrepancies.

    Workplace Health & Safety

    • Ensure compliance to OHASA in all Stores
    • Ensure notice boards are up to date with evacuation procedures
    • Ensure that all first aid kits are fully stocked and not expired
    • Ensure that all staff are trained and operate within all OHASA policies, procedures and responsibilities 
    • Ensure OHASA standards are strictly observed
    • Oversee return to work programs for workers compensation cases
    • Maintain safe work areas through leadership and education in all Stores

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role within retail, FMCG, or a similar industry
    • Proven track record of managing multiple locations or teams
    • Strong leadership and people management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

    Junior Planner

    Position Purpose

    Supply Planning & Replenishment

    • Maintain the weekly and monthly supply plans in line with forecast and stock requirements.
    • Maintain and monitor key supply parameters: lead times, minimum order quantities, and safety stock levels.
    • Highlight and resolve potential supply gaps, delays, or risks through proactive communication.

    Chocolate Advisor Flexi Permanent 180 Hours (Menlyn Boutique)

    Position Purpose

    • To be an ambassador of LINDT ensuring all customers receive a world class premium experience. Delivering exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.

    Customer Service and Sales

    • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, across all sections of the Chocolate Shop and over the phone
    • Greeting all customers, “Welcome to Lindt”, hosting and providing a memorable experience
    • Educating and informing customers on Lindt chocolate products and handling them with passion and in-depth knowledge
    • Actively sampling provides product knowledge and introduces products through discussion of taste profiles and ingredients
    • Awareness of daily sales budgets, actively upselling to increase customer transaction spend
    • Inform all customers of current instore promotions, events, and directed information
    • Provide customers assistance in the selection of quality Lindt products, encouraging additional sales
    • Serving more than one customer at a time, acknowledging and communicating at all times
    • Multi-task between completing store operational tasks and serving customers
    • Processing the customer orders through the POS, and credit card transactions
    • Own and manage individual tills, including counting floats and performing end of shift till procedure
    • Preparing big customer orders
    • Ensure complaints are addressed immediately by informing the Manager on duty
    • Develop a rapport with regular customers encouraging repeat business. Maintain a pleasant friendly atmosphere within the store at all times
    • Restocking and cleaning through the day

    Product Knowledge

    • Comprehensive understanding of products including, but not limited to, product specifications (handling, ingredients, storage, allergens)
    • Product pricing, packaging, and category performance knowledge
    • Comply with product management and handling procedures
    • Compliance to food and hygiene and safety standards practicing good hygienic practices

    General

    • Work ethic to reflect the Lindt values and standards as outlined in the Credo and Lindt Policies & Procedures. Lead by example ensuring a harmonious and productive environment
    • Record sampling and wasted products actively quality controlling products
    • Perform open and closing procedures, signing off checklist
    • Perform cleaning duties signing off checklist
    • Perform temperature readings signing off checklist
    • Maintain clean, tidy working areas at all times
    • Ensure all fixtures, glass cabinets and floors remain clean and tidy throughout the day
    • Ensure body language, mannerism, physical and verbal presentation upholds the company image and grooming policy
    • Accepting courier deliveries and confirming all items are received against invoice
    • Assisting in monthly stock counts
    • Unpacking, moving and restocking products
    • Using all instore equipment, machines and appliances

    Work, health and safety

    • Comply with all work health and safety requirements
    • Report and damaged or dangerous equipment or property to management

    Manual Handling

    • Repetitive lifting and moving of Lindt stock which can weigh up to 12kgs per unit
    • Moving stock from storerooms to the front of house
    • Monitor sales on a daily basis with the goal to maximize store profitability without sacrificing customer service
    • Timely ordering of merchandise and supplies with a focus on overall inventory management and loss prevention
    • Daily reconciling of cash with sales receipts, daily paperwork and accounting, and other store administration
    • Confident and interactive with a friendly disposition
    • Excellent communication skills with a strong work ethic that can represent a premium brand
    • Responsible and accountable in achieving individual goals and budgets
    • Good time management skills (multi-tasking and prioritizing)
    • Self-starter with the ability to work individually and in a team
