    Team Lead : Colocation CPT (Western Cape)

    Description

    • Team Lead: Colocation will be responsible for all operational tasks and activities within co-location and other operational areas. This will include activities such as planning and implementation of racks, cable trays, power distribution unit and network connectivity, ensuring compliance with defined capacity thresholds, as well as the budget for rack and cable infrastructure. Responsible for the coordination of all work carried out in the Data Halls, supervision of technicians and customers and third parties. Reviewing and approving of scheduled and projected work performed. Responsible to customers for meeting operational contracted Service Level Management Agreements and managing all customer requests and incidents end-to-end. This role fulfils all 3rd level support, includes problem solving and changes to any client request, as well as all related design of network and cross connect entries into the Data Centre space and between ISP’s and customers and managing technicians.

    Key Result Areas:

    Data Centre Colocation Planning

    • Assist with Design and implementation of capacity management according to availability and client requirements
    • Assist with Management of floorplan capacity and defining standards for implementation
    • Provide input to sales and product management team/s to support product strategies/objectives into solutions that drive market awareness and revenue growth in the Colocation space

    Data Centre Colocation Management

    • Day-to-day management of colocation space (racks, keys, cages, power feeds, networking)
    • Responsible for ensuring continued support and building of relationships with existing and new customers
    • Responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining of equipment, racks, cages and cabling
    • Manage and coordinate all projects related to Carrier and ISP Fibre entries into the Data Centre facility

    Data Centre Colocation Reporting 

    • Assist with Customer monthly billing information on usage and space allocation
    • Responsible for weekly, monthly Customer reporting on security, infrastructure and RHS (Remote hand services) activities. 

    Finance and Administration

    • Assist with writing all technical specification and motivations to ensure procurement are able to source contracts according to Colocation Standards
    • Assist with gathering relevant data provided to the financial department for accurate monthly billing to customers

    Staff Supervision

    • Ensure that all human resources are appropriately managed in terms of performance and development including performance management and career development initiatives
    • Mentoring (including training thereof) of all direct reports in line with their performance management objectives

    Requirements
    Formal Qualifications

    • Relevant IT or Engineering qualification
    • Certified Data Centre Professional is an added advantage

    Experience

    • 3-5 years' experience in Data Centre Colocation
    • 3-5 years' experience with IT systems and networking
    • 3-5 years' experience with Cabling & Cable management
    • 3-5 years advanced Experience & Knowledge of Ticketing systems
    • 3-5 years' experience with Data Centre infrastructure systems

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Knowledge of Data Centre Colocation Systems
    • Knowledge of Data Centre Power Systems, HVAC and Monitoring Systems
    • Knowledge of Data Centre Infrastructure and Security Systems
    • Deep understanding of Data Halls Technology, Products and Services offered Service Level Management and Reporting
    • Ability to work alone or as part of a cross-functional team
    • Ability to coordinate, supervise and communicate with contractors
    • Good verbal and written communications skills

    Technician : Cololcation (Western Cape)

    Description

    • We are looking to appoint a Technician Colocation who will be responsible for implementation, installation and maintenance of customer racks, power distribution points networking and structured cabling in the computer rooms (colocation space), reporting to the Team Lead: Colocation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planned work, service requests and fault resolution carried out for customers in the computer rooms and supervising third parties along with meeting contracted service levels, managing assigned customer requests and incidents, and providing excellent customer service. The role will be requiring candidate to be on standby outside of normal working hours, and may be required to work shifts, in accordance with the company shift work policy.

    Key Performance Area

    Data Centre Colocation Planning

    • Providing inputs for capacity management of the computer rooms
    • Tracking and labelling of assets for Asset Management

    Data Centre Colocation Reporting

    • Day-to-day allocation of colocation space (racks, keys, cages, power feeds, networking)
    • Inspection of equipment coming into the data centre computer room, and final inspection after installation

    Data Centre Colocation Compliance

    • Complying with all standard operating procedures related to colocation, including remote hands process
    • On-site co-ordination with Data Centre security on security procedures, incidents and reporting

    Data Centre Customer Experience

    • Provide superior customer service for all Data Centre customers, exceeding customer expectations and achieving favorable customer satisfaction rating

    Requirements
    Formal Qualifications Required

    • National Diploma in Information Technology

    Job Related Experience Required

    • Minimum 3 years' Experience with IT systems and networking
    • Knowledge of Data Centre colocation systems, including power systems, networking, and infrastructure monitoring
    • High computer literacy and expertise using operational IT systems
    • Excellent practical and theoretical cabling and networking skills

    KAM (Manufacturing, Logistics, Hospitality) (Midrand)

    Role Purpose

    • To maximize revenue opportunities through establishing, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with strategic customers as well as defining and executing sales strategies that focus on increased sales and profitability. Managing strategic accounts and delivering profitable, long-term revenue from nominated accounts. Ensuring delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of information, communication andtechnology solutions. Establishing appropriate relationships with customers and leverages those relationships to achieve financial targets.Work collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts.
    • Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of top tier client accounts with responsibility to retain and grow these accounts.                                                      

    Role Description     

    •  The Senior Key Account Manager will be assigned customer accounts that sit in the Top 350 company accounts to manage. Robust account plans toachieve sales objectives will need to be delivered.
    • Account plans should include the revenue potential for 1-3 years and the associated strategy to achieve this revenue.Implement commercial strategies and then execute in line with company policies.
    • Generate and maintain opportunity pipeline and credible business revenue forecasts order to meet sales targets.Present Liquid Intelligent Technology’s services and
    • offerings to assigned/new customers while leading account planning cycles and ensuring that the customers’ needs, and expectations are met.
    • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer requirements on an on-going basis.
    • Implement a detailed sales strategy for all strategic accountsTrack and record sales activities on all accounts onSFDC.Collaborating very closely with teams from other departments within Liquid. Partner with internalcrossfunctional teams to understand customer goals and key performance metrics.Understand clients' business and generate new ideas to improve the customers’ business.Expanding the customer stakeholders beyond ICT to strategic business owners (CMO, CFO, COO,
    • CEO) who own the budget and/or can influence the buying decision.
    • Build trust, credibility, and client referrals.Maintain or improve account profitability bycustomizing solutions as per customer requirements.Oversee the execution of the complete sales process for all customers, including: customer request handling, customer information gathering, finalisation of product specification and selection
