Job Description    

• We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager who will be responsible for all sales activities for ITB Plastics, from lead generation through to deal closure within our target markets. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Identify target customers and explore new market opportunities, initiate engagement and secure new business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and responsiveness to client needs.
• Support the Sales Director in contract negotiations.
• Provide commercial insight and market awareness to the management team.
• Achieve annual sales targets.
• Prepare monthly sales reports, including activity summaries, closed deals, and follow-up actions aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D and Operations to identify emerging trends, innovative packaging formats, and sustainable material solutions.
• Lead, motivate, and collaborate with a dedicated sales team to consistently exceed performance targets.

Educational Requirements    

• Diploma/ Degree with Commerce focus

Experience Requirements    

• Proven work experience as a National Sales Manager
• Experience within the FMCG environment
• Experience managing a high-performance team.
• Experience within the packaging sector
• Experience in the flexible packaging industry will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies    

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a dedicated sales team
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

• Manage, mentor, and motivate sports writers, reporters, and photographers.
• Assign, edit, and produce compelling stories across digital and multimedia platforms. Stay ahead of sports news, trends, and live events to deliver competitive coverage, especially in the school rugby space.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop content strategies that boost readership and advertiser engagement, including sponsorship opportunities tied to school rugby.
• Monitor performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and adjust strategy to meet commercial targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, schools, players, unions, and sports stakeholders.
• Uphold ethical journalism and brand standards.

Educational Requirements    

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, or related field.

Experience Requirements    

• Code 8 driver’s license.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality sports content and meeting audience/commercial KPIs.
• Strong leadership, editing, and multimedia storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with CMS, SEO best practices, and analytics tools.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Deep knowledge of a wide range of sports and current trends.

• Knowledge of best practices for growing engagement and reach on different platforms.
