    Social Content Editor

    • Are you a passionate editor with a knack for delivering exceptional social edits, graphics and design solutions across both digital and print-based projects? Look no further! We are searching for a highly creative individual who possesses supreme attention to detail and strong social editing skills to join our dynamic team.
    • As an exceptionally talented Social Editor, you will bring your own unique flair to our agency and consistently develop outstanding solutions, regardless of the brief or sector. We don't just want you to take a brief; we want you to collaborate with our diverse team, generate exciting ideas, and create beautiful work and campaigns for the wide range of brands we work with.
    • In addition to your creative prowess, we need someone who can keep their ducks in a row. With multiple projects to work across, time management skills are crucial. You will be responsible for managing your own workload efficiently, meeting project deadlines, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination within the team.
    • Ideally, we're seeking someone with 5-7 years of experience in both short- and long-form social content. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across a variety of formats and genres, editing footage shot by production teams to meet specific project requirements.
    • The Social Editor will assist with edits, graphic social content creation across multiple projects, delivering final outputs in various formats under tight deadlines. This includes working with supplied footage, After Effects, Photoshop/Illustrator files and digital assets to craft high-quality audio-visual content. The role also involves prepping files and syncing footage to support the workflow of senior editors. As well as having the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including producers, copywriters, strategists, and account/ project managers, to ensure a cohesive and impactful creative direction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build offline edits from storyboards and creative briefs, to tell compelling stories and communicate the intended message effectively.
    • Edit and finesse video; including but not limited to colour grading (using LUT/guide grade), cleaning up footage and adding graphics/generating graphic text for social and digital content.
    • Audio mix music, voiceover and any simple sound effects within edits.
    • Collaborate with producers and editors from post production houses and creative teams to align with project objectives and vision.
    • Maintain organised systems and meticulously label project files.
    • Store and archive all footage and final material according to required protocols.
    • Select music from licensed music libraries as needed.
    • Source and select images from stock libraries when required.
    • Manage personal workflow and provide regular progress updates to the appropriate senior team members.
    • Be comfortable incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders, including producers and clients.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the editing process and overall workflow.
    • Stay current with editing techniques, software updates, and industry trends.

    Requirements:

    • Competency in working with motion graphics templates, Adobe After Effects, illustrator and Photoshop
    • Experience in colour grading for broadcast is an advantage.
    • High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Nuke experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of cloud-based services and file management.
    • Effective communication skills and strong team collaboration.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
    • Passion for storytelling and visual narrative techniques.
    • Creative, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Strong organisational and goal-oriented work ethic.
    • Technical understanding of television and digital content production.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and time management abilities.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary education in film, media, or a related creative field.
    • Proficient in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with the broadcast and digital video landscape, particularly in a beauty context, is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop exciting marketing experiences that tell compelling stories, connecting with customers and raising awareness.
    • Lead brainstorms and conceptualisation
    • Lead the craft and art direction of an idea across multiple channels
    • Provide a clear, focused creative vision to both internal and external partners, refining and improving continuously.
    • Manage external partners to create effective solutions across platforms, tailoring content for each channel.
    • Inspire and uplift our internal teams and external partners (e.g., META, TikTok) to ensure campaigns shine with creativity and innovation.
    • Direct the creation of diverse creative assets, from key art to trailers, encompassing brand-building and direct response ads through our tech tools.
    • Collaborate with the Creative Operations Director to establish and maintain our Tech Stack, ensuring its adoption and consistency across our client portfolio.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • 5-8-years’ experience preferably within an advertising agency environment
    • Strong conceptual background
    • Award winning digital work within your portfolio &/or Experience/Key role in Digital transformation within an agency/team.
    • Experience working with junior-mid team members and growing them simultaneously.
