    Operator (Explosives Truck)

    Overview    

    • The purpose of this role is to load blast holes with explosive products using a mixer-placer truck in accordance with BME standards, and to be responsible for truck inspection and maintenance.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 (Mathematics)
    • EC License – Code 14 (EC)
    • Dangerous Goods and Passengers permit (DGP

    Experience    

    • 3 years Truck Driving experience (preferably in mining environment)
    • 5 years’ experience in driving heavy duty vehicles (EC)

    Duties    

    • Ensures that all SHERQ requirements are met
    • Receives the charging instruction from the Blaster
    • Carries out an inspection of all the holes and measures and records them to ensure that they are drilled to the correct depth
    • Reports any out of spec holes to blaster
    • Performs calculations to determine the correct mass of product to be loaded in each hole and reports any discrepancies to with the Foreman
    • Inspects all the pumps and settings prior to commencing with the pumping process
    • Takes a sample of the product and then analyses it to assess the product density prior to commencing the charging process
    • Reports any out of spec analyses to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the product quality
    • Reports any out of spec settings or equipment to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the mechanics of the process
    • Engages the pumping process and loading the holes according to the design specs while ensuring all prescribed SHERQ requirements are met
    • Takes a sample of the product as per BME standards, and/or customer requirements, to ensure that the product quality remains within spec and records it on the sheet provided
    • Performs general administrative duties such as correct completion of loading sheets, pre-use checklists, as per BME standards
    • Complete grease schedules, calibrations and truck performance
    • Supervises the work of the Truck Assistant
    • Make ensure holes being charged are correct before charging – this will be applicable based on contract that signed between BME client

    Precision Farming Specialist

    Overview    

    • The Precision Farming specialists provides support and technical expertise to growers and dealers who are using precision technologies on their farms.                          

    Qualifications    

    • Matric - a focus on sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agricultural Business would be of advantage.
    • Certified crop adviser certification may also be required. 
    • Needs to be fully proficient in both Afrikaans and English.

    Experience    

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a similar level
    • Previous experience of working within an agricultural industry is beneficial.

    Finance Manager: Supply Chain and Operations

    Overview    

    • To ensure the efficient functioning of the supply chain department with regards the following functions: Effective stock management, accruals and variance analysis; Manage all Admin Procedures at Ports, Sasolburg, Satellite Warehouses and Head Office; Goods in transit for all Supply Chain Depots and Ports; All accounting related transactions e.g. demurrage costs, pricing modules & expense management. The role will be responsible for providing the business with timely and accurate managerial and financial information. The scope of the role includes reporting on weekly and monthly management reports, ensuring that all financial and managerial controls are in place, completing monthly forecasts and detailed action plans to reach set targets on income, expense and working capital ratios and analysing trends. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class manufacturing and supply chain philosophy, principles and practices.

    Experience    

    • 6 - 10 Years Experience in manufacturing/mining/pharmaceuticals within a Finance Function

    Duties    

    • Perform financial functions for the department which include financial reporting, payment allocations, budgeting, expense analysis, cash flow forecasting, invoice generation
    • Overseeing of purchase order process on AX/D365 and management of stock (receipts and dispatches) in supply chain warehouses, including GIT
    • Maintain an import schedule and overseeing filing system of all import documents
    • Resolution of any admin & financial related queries with suppliers
