    Dangerous Goods Driver

    Job Purpose

    • The Dangerous Goods Driver is responsible for the safe transportation, handling, and delivery of equipment and Anhydrous Ammonia in compliance with all safety, security, and environmental standards. The role requires independent working capability within a team environment, accurate completion of administrative duties, and a strong commitment to safety, service excellence, and operational discipline.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • Code EC Driver's Licence
    • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

    Experience

    • 2–3 years' experience transporting and handling dangerous goods
    • Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia handling will be an advantage

    Key Responsibilities

    Transportation & Handling

    • Safely transport and deliver Anhydrous Ammonia and related equipment.
    • Offload NH equipment and Anhydrous Ammonia in accordance with approved procedures.
    • Handle Anhydrous Ammonia safely and responsibly at all times.
    • Operate vehicles and equipment in line with best practices and legal requirements.

    Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

    • Comply fully with all safety, site security, environmental, and SHEQ policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to dangerous goods regulations and company operating standards.
    • Participate in preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
    • Support off-season and scheduled maintenance activities.

    Administration & Reporting

    • Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and timeously.
    • Maintain records related to deliveries, inspections, and operational activities.
    • Report incidents, deviations, or equipment issues promptly.

    Finance Accountant

    Job Purpose

    • The Financial Accountant is responsible for executing core financial accounting activities with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance. The role ensures correct cost recognition, intercompany recharges, balance sheet integrity, and timely period close, supporting the delivery of IFRS-compliant, audit-ready financial information.

    Qualifications

    • BCom in Accounting / Financial Accounting
    • Qualified CA(SA)

    Experience

    • 2–5 years' experience in financial accounting, audit, or a similar role
    • Strong understanding of cost allocation and intercompany accounting
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, AX, SAP) and reporting tools

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Transaction Accuracy & Cost Allocation

    • Ensure accurate and complete posting of transactions to the general ledger.
    • Validate cost allocations to correct accounts, cost centres, and dimensions.
    • Identify and process intercompany recharges in line with group policies.
    • Review postings to detect misclassifications, unusual trends, and errors.

    Period Close & Journals

    • Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities per the finance calendar.
    • Prepare and post journals including accruals, provisions, payroll, FX remeasurements, and reclassifications.
    • Ensure journals are fully supported, approved, and submitted on time.
    • Maintain structured templates and audit trails.

    Balance Sheet Reconciliations

    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Investigate and clear reconciling items timeously.
    • Provide clear explanations for movements and aged balances.

    Intercompany Accounting & Cross-Charging

    • Prepare and process intercompany transactions and journals.
    • Calculate and process monthly intercompany cost recharges using approved drivers.
    • Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve timing, pricing, and FX differences.
    • Upload and validate intercompany balances on group platforms (e.g. VENA).
    • Prepare intercompany confirmations and audit support schedules.

    IFRS & Technical Accounting Support

    • Support IFRS accounting treatments (e.g. IFRS 16, fixed assets, provisions).
    • Maintain calculation schedules, roll-forwards, and working papers.
    • Flag complex or unusual transactions for senior review.

    Audit, Controls & Compliance

    • Prepare audit documentation and manage submission trackers.
    • Provide first-pass responses to external audit queries.
    • Support internal audits, control remediation, and IFC attestations.
    • Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and control frameworks.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Support annual and quarterly budgeting processes.
    • Assist with cash flow forecasting.

    Plant Operator

    Overview

    • Omnia Agriculture is looking for a Plant Operator to support the safe production, loading, and offloading of fertiliser products and raw materials. The role requires a hands-on individual with chemical production experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to perform administrative and computer-related tasks.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric with Mathematics and Science
    • NQF 4 or Chemical Operations qualification (advantageous)
    • 2–3 years' experience in a chemical production environment
    • Computer literacy

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, safety, environmental, and site security requirements.
    • Operate plant equipment to produce and load liquid fertiliser.
    • Offload raw materials and safely handle N-Gas.
    • Perform in-process quality checks and follow testing procedures.

    • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards within the plant.
    • Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities.
