    Head of Digital Agriculture

    Overview    

    • The Head of Digital Agriculture will lead the way in shaping Omnia’s digital agronomy capability. This role is more than just technology, it’s about bringing people and ideas together, driving meaningful transformation. By uniting teams across agriculture under one clear roadmap, this leadership position will help Omnia move faster, scale smarter, and innovate with purpose. The Head of Digital Agriculture will embed advanced technologies such as IoT, remote sensing, digital twins, and AI-driven decision intelligence into our agriculture’s operations. The role will turn Omnia’s data into value and ensure Omnia’s digital efforts always put the customer at the centre. The goal is to ensure Omnia is positioned as a leader in digital agriculture, delivering real results for our business, our teams, and the clients and farmers we serve.

    Qualifications    

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 
    • Master’s degree in information technology (or equivalent) highly desirable. 

    Experience    

    • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in digital transformation, data strategy, or senior technology leadership roles. 
    • Demonstrated success in leading large scale technology and data initiatives that deliver measurable business value. 
    • Experience within the agriculture sector or closely related industries will be a strong advantage.

    Duties    

    • Set and drive Omnia’s digital agriculture strategy, making sure it aligns with business goals and global AgTech trends.
    • Establish the digital agriculture capability by mobilising, partnering, recruiting and leading people in line with approved digital agriculture strategy.
    • Align teams from Marketing, Sales, OmniBio®, NSD, Precision Ag, Axioteq and Chemtech to work toward a shared digital agriculture vision. 
    • Drive adoption of IoT, remote sensing, digital twins, blockchain traceability, and AI capability across agricultural agronomy operations.
    • Build-Buy-Partner: Build solutions where data or IP are strategic, buy commodity technology components and Partner to speed up delivery.
    • Develop an integrated data platform that provides a complete view of agriculture clients, combining finance, operations, logistics and agronomy data.
    • Develop fit-for-purpose country specific digital solutions for Omnia’s clients, agronomists, marketing and sales teams ensuring Omnia remains relevant across its global agriculture operations.
    • Establish business models, frameworks, platforms and partnerships to deliver data-as-a-product, enabling APIs, marketplaces and embed digital services for internal and external consumption.
    • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with Group IT and regulatory standards.

    Shared Service Practitioner (HC)

    Overview    

    • To enable the Human Resource Business Partner  by performing end to end employee life cycle tasks for the designated entities.
    • All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class philosophy, principles and practices.

    Qualifications    

    • Matric
    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR/ Industrial Psychology or related field

    Experience    

    • 2 – 5 years Coordinator in an HR environment
    • Strong administration skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
    • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask and follow through
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure
    • Initiative, confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    Duties    
    Talent Management

    • Provide HR administrative support, ensuring a great experience for current and potential Employees
    • Onboarding and Offboarding: Ensure that the process is aligned to the overall entity strategy 
    • Rewards and Recognition: Effect fitting rewards and recognition mechanisms for all entities.
    • Training and Development: Develop and implement entity specific training and development programs which will satisfy the identified needs of the entity
    • Legislative Compliance: Ensure all Employment Equity (EE) data and any other employee data is captured correctly onto the HRIS

    HR Admin, reporting and compliance

    • Create new employee files and ensure all new documentation is received and accurately completed and stored
    • Update employee data on the HRIS

    Human Resources and People Management

    • Promote a culture of high performance
    • Contribute to the achievement of the departmental goals through optimised and aligned individual performance

    Governance, Risk and Compliance

    • Comply with all appropriate entity Regulations, relevant legislation, policies, procedures and ensure implementation where applicable
    • Promote a culture of good governance, transparency and accountability for the entity
    • Minimise potential risk to stakeholders though effective execution of risk mitigation plans

    Project

    • Any project related to Shared Service

    Job Competencies    

    • Relevant administration experience
    • Previous exposure to payroll admin would be an added advantage
    • Proven experience in HR administration and HR system administration (CRS)
    • Advanced computer skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
    • Good understanding of the Foundation environment and application of HC knowledge to business context

    Logistics Co-Ordinator

    Overview    

    • Ensuring internal and external customers are provided with raw materials and final goods. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.                                                                                                                                                                                       

    Qualifications

    • 2-5 years’ experience in relevant field

    Duties    
    Arranging transport for inbound and outbound loads to or from all Fertilizer BU's:

    • Scheduling of loads
    • Daily interaction with Transport controllers for trucks
    • Rerouting of trucks
    • Monitoring of raw material stock levels
