    Artisan Senior Maintenance

    Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Artisan will be responsible to fulfill duties of the Plant and Engineering functions of the site maintenance team. Carrying out repairs and maintenance to the electrical and mechanical assets as well as plant settings.

    Qualification Requirements    

    • Matric
    • Appropriate engineering qualifications
    • Relevant Trade Test qualification essential Red Seal Fitter, Electrician or Millwright.

    Experience Requirements    

    • Minimum 5 -year experience in FMCG or other fast paced manufacturing environment post qualification
    • Hands on knowledge of PLC and servo systems
    • Experience with variable speed drives, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical drive systems.
    • Experience with electrical power distribution (medium and low voltage)
    • Knowledge of safety checks on mechanical equipment in accordance with OHSA
    • Experience in a diaper or sanitary pad manufacturing facility will be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 2 years leadership / junior management experience.
    • Maintenance planning and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly machine availability and efficiencies.

    Key Outputs    

    • Monitor and adjust, when necessary, plant set points to ensure effective and efficient running of plants.
    • Inspection of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site.
    • Monitor and inspect plant for potential and existing defects.
    • Carrying out of scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • Installation and project work as required.

    • Perform standby on a rotational basis.

    • Perform breakdown functions on electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • Liaise with cross functional teams to achieve quality, delivery, safety and production requirements.
    • Lead a team of artisans and artisan assistants to achieve production requirement through machine availability

    Attendant Packing Quality

    Job Description

The Attendant Packing Quality will be responsible to ensure product quality performance is in line with customer requirements throughout all production activities, using the standards practice and testing methodologies.

    Qualification Requirements    

    • Matric with Mathematics and Science.
    • Degree/National Diploma in Food Technology / Analytical Chemistry or equivalent

    Experience Requirements    

    • 2 years in Quality Control or Quality Assurance Laboratory in the food industry, this to include at least 1 year exposure to Raw Material Analysis
    • GMP, HACCP and Supplier Quality Assurance experience
    • ISO 17025 certificate and/or work experience.

    Key Outputs    
    Conduct daily quality control checks on incoming raw material, in-process product, and finished/packed product.

    • Sampling and testing all products received against required specification.
    • Conduct testing activities according to sampling plan and by using respective lab equipment according to methods and Sop’s
    • Make decision on degree of product conformity record all test outcomes on testing sheet.
    • Communicate with the relevant departments HOD’s/supervisors, on any detected product non-conformances and assist with attempts to bring product quality within required tolerances.
    • Ensure that out of specification controls samples and other deviations are investigated and root cause with corrective action are provided.
    • Maintain good housekeeping in the lab daily by ensuring that work area meet company hygiene policy.
    • Ensure machine breakdowns are recorded and reported to Lab Supervisor.
    • Issue Certificate of Analysis of final product on request.
    • Ensure LIMS data is captured accurately and in real time.
    • Label and store retained samples in line with procedure.
    • Participate in Invocom and internal and external audits.

    Cost Accountant

    Job Description    

    • To manage the full stock control function and operational efficiencies to mitigate stock losses in collaboration with relevant site HOD’s.

    • Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays as the business requires

    • To provide a cost management service to the management team in respect of deviation reporting along with waste elimination opportunities.
    • To determine and manage cost accounting procedures and methods in order to accurately account for costs per product.
    • To ensure accurate recording and reporting of stock information through compilation of financial journals and balance sheet reconciliations on monthly basis.
    • To check for adherence to and continuous improvements of Standard Operating Procedures relating to stock control on all site and route locations, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    • To guide and advice Sales managers regarding route viability and cost to serve by checking their calculations on ad-hoc basis.
    • Cashbook reconciliation

    • Expense Analysis and reviewing variances against budget with recommendations
