    Job Summary

    • As a Recruiter you will be responsible for meticulously tracking candidates throughout all stages of recruitment including sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the Schools staffing needs. your primary mission is to source and connect exceptional candidates with the brand while continuing to build relationships and be a brand ambassador not matter the outcome of a prospective candidate application. The selected candidate would ensure to exercise their role in compliance with employment law, POPIA and foster diversity and inclusion.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    You will be responsible for the End to end recruitment and selection process

    • Planning
    • Participate in recruitment planning for current and future talent needs, collaborating with the heads of departments and HR as needed
    • Creating Job Requisitions and ensuring that all signoffs are in place for various stages of the recruitment process
    • Develop and implement local talent engagement strategies to support the attraction of talent
    • Publish job ads on career pages, job boards, and social networks
    • Develop and implement referral generation strategies, leveraging existing team members, university resources, corporate partnerships, industry organizational relationships
    • Maintain solid industry awareness and market trends
    • Candidate Sourcing / Headhunting
    • Source potential candidates through various channels.
    • Actively seek to find the right candidate to suit the right position
    • Ensure all Job Descriptions are aligned and up to date in line with HR principles
    • Screening
    • Perform pre-screening assessment of candidate applications
    • Work with Line Managers to ensure the correct alignment to prospective candidates and applications
    • Perform pre-screening calls to analyse applicants’ skills, abilities, and cultural fit.
    • Selecting
    • Setup Interview schedules for all interview stages for candidates and hiring managers
    • Keep candidates fully informed at all times throughout the process
    • Manage all feedback to candidates
    • Assessments - prepare candidates for, administer and analyse various assessments
    • Gathering relevant data and processing correctly for candidate checks
    • Secure successful candidates and initiate onboarding processes for new hires.
    • Continue building of candidate pipelines
    • Candidate Management
    • Processing candidate information correctly in alignment to the recruitment procedure
    • Co-ordinate with Hiring Managers to forecast department goals and hiring needs to build a talent pipeline geared towards fulfilling these requirements.
    • Data and Reporting
    • Process all data in line with the appropriate process and adhering to data protection at all times
    • Report out on daily, weekly and monthly metrics
    • Keep all dashboards, systems and folders accurate and up-to-date at all times
    • Administration
    • Participate in all recruitment and HR required administration
    • participate in projects related to HR, Talent and Recruitment
    • support employability in collaboration with the employability coordinator

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
    • 2 – 3 years proven recruitment experience – High volume and/or Technical Recruitment experience (advantageous)
    • Edtech or Education Experience as a HR Recruiter (highly advantageous)
    • Proficiency with productivity and recruitment platforms (including Google Suites tools
    • Proficiency with recruiting and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Successfactors or Greenhouse
    • Proven ability to headhunt beyond the use of platforms and build talent pipelines
    • Strong administration skills
    • Good typing skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent Computer literacy and MS Excel experience
    • Excellent telephone etiquette and professional conduct are essential
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

    Manager for School of Marketing (Higher Education)

    Job Summary:

    • We are looking for an experienced, passionate academic leader who has relevant industry knowledge and HIGHER Education experience, to join our academic team to support and mentor the team responsible for the next generation of Red & Yellow game changers. This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a vibrant Academic team – alongside our marketers, learning designers and programme managers. You will be responsible for leading the academic and creative excellence and the growth of the School of Marketing, in line with the vision and mission of Red and Yellow. This is a role for an experienced academic who has the ability to lead teams effectively and work with multiple stakeholders. This is a full time role and will require a person who is able to and has a proven experience in successfully leading teams.     Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Leading and Managing Faculty and other Staff
    • Serve on the Academic Exco.
    • Set and implement the academic strategy for the School Marketing in line with the School’s strategic plans and direction.
    • Lead the strategic and academic goals of the School
    • Manage the Operations in the Department (facilities, timetables, etc)
    • Communicate effectively and timeously with staff and ensure that they are aligned to Business requirements
    • Motivate staff when needed
    • Make constructive contributions, where applicable, to the management of the School
    • Foster positive relationships between the school and all sectors of the community
    • Lead the research by faculty and students in the School
    • Lead, and conduct the performance management of the faculty and staff reporting into the role
    • Play an active role as academic leader at a national and international levels
    • Develop a personal research or thought leadership practice /profile for reputation management
    • Represent the School to the Head of Academics and on Academic Exco
    • Support in the recruitment of top staff for the School
    • Manage workloads within the in the department
    • Develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation,
    • decision-making and communication with staff and students.
    • Ensuring all staff (incl TA’s ) have access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully
    • Ensure that the faculty, staff and Teaching Assistants receive regular training to remain at the cutting edge of the field
    • Student Management
    • Ensure regular student feedback is collected on all aspects of the academic and extra-curricular student experience
    • Contribute and help manage events, and support mechanisms for students
    • Communicate regularly with students ie in town halls or student assemblies
    • Actively assist in student orientation
    • Actively assist in graduation
    • Actively drive and support our award initiatives
    • Engage with the student representative council and ensure that the full-time students are included as appropriate in the various decision-making processes within the Department.
    • Ensure that recommended support of at-risk students is implemented
    • Deal swiftly and effectively with student complaints
    • Curriculum Leadership and Management
    • Promote a culture of excellence and extraordinary creativity in teaching and learning and assessment in all of the Schools’s offerings - both in the full-time, part-time or distance mode
    • Actively search out and develop knowledge about innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance learning experiences
    • Assist with reviewing and developing new programmes and courses in the School in order to attract new students and markets, and ensure faculty contributes to this as well.
    • Ensure employability KPI’s are met - masterclasses, WPL, project based learning etc
    • Maintain compliance with auditing, quality assurance and risk management procedures, as
    • stipulated by the respective Governing authorities, e.g., CHE, DHET, SAQA.
    • Ensure the timeous revision of the teaching & learning, module and programme guides.
    • Reporting, administrative and Quality Assurance requirements
    • Managing governance structures in the full-time department
    • Taking responsibility for developing budgets and complying with School financial regulations.
    • Put in place the necessary quality assurance, evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Ensure the planning of academic activities in the academic year with the Manager: Regulatory and Student Affairs
    • Compile reports on student feedback, faculty and staff performance, marks etc
    • Assist in delivering student records and transcripts
    • Assist in the update of academic policies and the student handbook

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A Master’s Degree that relates to the relevant programmes in the School., ie Marketing, Creative or Management field. (A PhD or PhD in progress would be preferable)
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior role in the higher education environment.
    • Teaching or mentoring experience in industry or academic setting
    • Industry experience in a managerial or strategic role would be advantageous
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
    • Strong management skills.
