    MR Operator Geology (North West)

    Description
    Job Responsibilities:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:

    • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • CUSTOMERS:
    • Ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Key Customers: Mining, Survey, Rock Engineering and Laboratory
    • BUSINESS PROCESSES:
    • SURFACE ACTIVITIES:
    • Assist in maintaining the exploration borehole core shed.
    • Unpacking and marking of borehole core samples.
    • Conduct borehole core splitting using a diamond saw machine
    • Pack out, move, stack and store borehole core trays as required by the geologist
    • Dispatching of borehole core samples and chip samples to the laboratory
    • Assist geologists with surface exploration activities and open cast mine activities.
    • UNDERGROUND ACTIVITIES:
    • Assist geologists with mapping of geological structures by holding a measuring tape in development ends and stope panels.
    • Assist with stope width measuring.
    • Assist with transporting of chip samples from underground to surface.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 10 / N1 (Pure Maths and Science)

    Additional qualifications:

    • Geology qualifications will be advantageous
    • Mining Geology experience
    • Competent B
    • Basic Sampling Certificate will be advantageous

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Operating a borehole core splitting machine and fixing borehole core mixing.
    • Reading and use of measuring tape and distometer readings.

    MFC HR Practitioner Operations (Middelburg)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To implement and maintain HR strategies and processes in area of responsibility. To support and advise Line Management in accordance with HR Policies and Procedures. To maintain systems, records and reporting.
    • BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
    • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
    • Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

    • Compile, collate and report relevant HR statistics and KPIs for departments
