    Shiftboss Mining

    Purpose of Job

    • To provide coaching and guidance to personnel in order to create high performance teams capable of reaching targets related to mining operations and activities, in a safe manner. To execute statutory duties according to relevant Mining regulation.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Carries out on a day to day basis planning, organizing, control and leadership that ensure that departments KPIs are met to produce safe coal by ensuring tons / cm / shift Availability of Equipment Downtime / shift / MTTF /MTTR (infrastructure and inspection equipment) Adherence to Overhaul / maintenance program – plan vs. actual Implements operational projects, ensures operating compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP in appointed area of responsibility)
    • Ensures adherence to Operating principles and legislation
    • Compliance to governance bodies (standardization committees) SOP / COP implementation and adherence
    • Ensures availability of spares, equipment and resources required to ensure optimal precautions, including governance of Electronic time keeping Total cost of ownership (TCO) Electronic time keeping system adherence

    Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical x4

    Purpose of Job

    • To support with the maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
    • To operate electrical devices and systems, and accurately and efficiently collect field data to ensure optimum productivity.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Apply and maintain safety in a working environment.
    • Participates in root cause analyses and provides feedback to RCA teams.

    • Spot continuous improvement opportunities in own work area.

    Formal Education

    • Grade 12 with Maths & Science & English or N3 (Must)
    • NQF2 Electrical occupational qualification from an accredited Seta or training authority (Must)

    Working Experience

    • Experience: 1 - 2+ relevant years

    Licenses

    • Valid driver’s license (must)

    Specific experience required

    • Basic electrical maintenance experience
    • Replacement and repairs of lights and light circuits.
    • Preventative maintenance execution
    • Electrical workshop environment
    • Replacement of plugs and junction boxes
    • Voltage testing with multimeter and hand tool use.

    SHE Occupational Health Nurse

    Purpose of Job

    • The successful candidate will be part of a team of 16 professional nurses working at the Occupational Health department in Sasol Secunda. The candidate will report directly to the Medical Surveillance Manager. The team is working straight shifts, Monday - Thursday 07h00-16h00 and Friday 07h00-13h00.
    • Medical Surveillance is done daily in this department. All the relevant screening tests are performed here. Issuing of results and quality checks are also part of the day-to-day activities. Liaising with the OHMP and the other Occupational Health departments are a vital part for this position. Good interpersonal skills, conflict management and professional work ethics are required to be part of the Medical Surveillance team.

    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    • Executing of a planned medical surveillance program of physical assessments, clinical examinations, and biological monitoring. This service will promote worker health and safety while delivering quality patient care. By optimizing the use of available resources and delivering quality patient care and excellent service, a high-quality surveillance program will be delivered to our stakeholders. By working together with the MS team and stakeholders we ensure the delivering of a high-quality surveillance program for our clients.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Performing all clinical assessments according to set directives.
    • Adhering to legal document practices
    • Ensure effective relations with stakeholders by displaying professional behavior appropriate to the work environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Nursing Degree with 3 years occupational Health experience or BTech/equivalent with 6 years work experience.
    • Occupational Health Post Basic qualification degree/diploma
    • Registration as Occupational Health Nurse with SANC
    • Audiometric qualification Spirometry certificate

    Experience:

    • 6-7 years experiencing in nursing.
    • 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health settings
