    Paid Media & Growth Strategist

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Are you a data-driven marketer who gets excited about turning clicks into customers? Syntech is seeking a motivated and meticulous Paid Media & Growth Strategist to own our paid advertising strategy across a diverse range of platforms.
    • As a Paid Media & Growth Strategist, you will play a critical role in driving customer acquisition and revenue growth. You will weave together data insights, strategic planning, & creative testing to optimise CPM, CPC, CPO, & other costs while maximising ROI. You'll deploy campaigns across an omnichannel landscape that includes paid socials, Google ads, B2B/B2C, ecommerce, & retail media across several core markets. 
    • The role requires a balance of planning, iterative testing, diligent execution, partner management, data analysis, & reporting. You will work closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager & the rest of the marketing department. You will also work closely with the Retail Sales teams as well as our customers.
    • Your work will directly shape the success of Syntech’s marketing efforts, helping to achieve strategic objectives while delivering measurable results.     Requirements

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a paid media, performance marketing, or similar role.
    • An undergraduate degree in marketing or a related field is preferred, but we welcome applicants with relevant certifications or equivalent professional experience. We recognise that there are diverse paths to expertise.

    • Experience managing campaigns across a variety of channels (Google ads, social media, & ideally retail media).
    • Proven ability to drive ROI through data-driven insights and strong analytical skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Advertising campaign planning, execution, & management

    • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and management of paid advertising campaigns across all channels, including retail media, Google ads, paid social, and our ecommerce platforms.
    • Collaborate with management to ensure campaign strategies align with broader business objectives and brand positioning.
    • Develop customer-centric strategies that meet consumers where they are, using search, social, behavioural, and brand signals to inform your approach.
    • Craft compelling advertising copy, visuals, and video assets that resonate deeply with our target audience, using creative storytelling to command attention.
    • Deploy creative, narrative storytelling techniques to command audience attention.
    • Deploy, develop, or curate marketing assets for paid media within budget. 

    Data-driven analysis & performance optimisation

    • Track, measure, & optimise campaigns in real-time, using analytics to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Prepare & present regular performance reports, clearly communicating key metrics, learnings, & areas for improvement.
    • Utilise A/B testing, customer segmentation, & user journey analysis to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and drive efficiency.
    • Conduct post-campaign analysis (POE & performance reports) to assess overall impact, applying key learnings to future initiatives.

    Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management

    • Work proactively with the retail sales teams to drive reseller advertising campaigns with our key accounts.
    • Collaborate closely with internal marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure campaigns are implemented effectively with clear communication and alignment.
    • Regularly update stakeholders on campaign progress, challenges, and results, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
    • Manage relevant 3rd party suppliers, ensuring effective integration into ongoing advertising campaigns.

    • Stay up-to-date on innovative disruptions in the tech and marketing industries (e.g., AI-driven search, new ad platforms) and champion their adoption within the marketing department.
    • Continuously seek out and motivate for new opportunities for professional growth and development.

    Senior Account Manager - VAR

    • We are looking for a high-performance, experienced, Senior Account Manager to join our KZN team and drive growth within the VAR and MSP segment.
    • Success requires strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship management, technical product understanding, and the ability to drive complex deals and rollout projects. The role requires proactive account planning, strategic territory management, and a high level of professionalism consistent with Syntech’s core values.

    What you’ll do

    • Grow revenue, GP, and active customers across your portfolio.
    • Build strategic relationships with VARs, MSPs, and project-based resellers.
    • Drive brand penetration across Syntech’s premium portfolio.
    • Identify and close project opportunities, tenders, and rollouts.
    • Deliver exceptional customer experiences.
    • Work closely with Product, Internal Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 4 years ICT channel sales experience as an Account Manager.
    • ICT Distribution experience is a huge plus
    • Strong understanding of IT hardware, networking, IoT, components, and power.
    • Proven ability to hit sales targets.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and hunger for growth.
    • You must have your own reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Sales & Revenue Delivery

    • Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual GP and revenue targets.
    • Grow wallet share within assigned VAR/MSP accounts.
    • Identify and convert project opportunities, RFPs, tenders, and rollouts.
    • Ensure accounts meet or exceed active reseller criteria.
    • Drive strategic brand penetration (Gizzu, Ugreen, Crucial, PCBUILDER, WINX, Port, etc.).

    Account Development

    • Maintain structured coverage of assigned KZN VAR/MSP portfolio.
    • Conduct weekly touchpoints: customer visits, calls, virtual reviews.
    • Create and execute detailed account development plans.
    • Provide product insights, new range introductions, and solution positioning.

    Customer Experience

    • Build trusted advisor relationships with procurement, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
    • Deliver outstanding support and communication.
    • Provide training on new products and technologies.
    • Escalate challenges with honourable candour.

    Internal Collaboration

    • Work closely with Internal Sales for efficient order processing and quoting.
    • Partner with Product Managers for stock, pricing, training, and brand strategies.
    • Engage Marketing for campaigns, sell-through, and customer activations.
    • Collaborate with Finance on credit control and account risk management.

    Reporting & Administration

    • Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline, and forecast.
    • Submit weekly activity and forecast reports.
    • Monitor performance via Fincon, ClicData, and internal dashboards.
    • Ensure compliance with pricing, margins, and operational processes
