    Cashier

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment
    • Compute and record transactions
    • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
    • Sort, count and wrap notes and coins
    • Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical scanners
    • Greet customers entering establishments
    • Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
    • Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
    • Receive payment by cash or card
    • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
    • Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
    • Do stock takes

    Qualifications and Skills 

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Computer literate
    • Previous cashier experience
    • Ability to work with money
    • Ability to work with customers
    • Good interpersonal skills

    Data Capture Clerk (Insurance)

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Clean and format data to align with Insurer requirements for onboarding new insurance schemes
    • Quality checks on data to ensure accuracy
    • Generate reports on new business
    • Analyse data employing functions such as VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, pivot tables
    • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support data related tasks and resolve discrepancies

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Previous work experience in a similar insurance data processing positions (advantageous)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and advance functions in Excel
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy
    • Ability to organise and prioritise task efficiently
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Fluent in English

    IT Quality Assurance (QA)

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specification and deliverables
    • Create detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts to verify functionality, performance, usability, and reliability of software applications
    • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
    • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
    • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
    • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
    • Track quality assurance metrics
    • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
    • Certifications in quality assurance or software testing (advantageous)
    • Proven work experience in software development
    • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
    • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
    • Solid knowledge of SQL400 and scripting
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Oversee all maintenance and repairs on Welverdiend site including student housing & permanent residences
    • Obtain and manage costs of repairers
    • Regular checks to ensure quality and safety on premises
    • Daily cash-ups at nursery
    • Control daily invoices and stock reports
    • Monthly stock takes at nursery
    • Goods received on AS400 & stock control
    • Costing of functions
    • Cardex Maintenance
    • Flexcard recons for purchases of all operational points
    • Update and maintain rates on booking platforms and internal systems
    • Marketing of Welverdiend on social platforms and other media
    • Planning and managing events
    • Guesthouse management and occupancy
    • Assist the Welverdiend Manager with new initiatives to grow revenue and expand service offering
    • Manage customer expectations

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Digital marketing and/or event management experience
    • Computer & basic IT knowledge
    • Semper & online booking platform knowledge (advantageous)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity at all time
    • Valid Driver’s License
