    Debtors Controller

    Introduction
    Responsible to effectively control, update and report on all debtor accounts, including warranties and other income within UD Trucks. Timely updating, reporting and feedback of credit function, ensuring that it complies with all set parameters and standards that fully support the business objectives

    Role Description
    Responsible to effectively control, update and report on all debtor accounts (For Trucks, parts, sundries and exports)as well as warranties

    • Identify debtors risk and taking corrective actions as per Credit policy.
    • Ensure all departments and employees comply with company and financial policies and procedures
    • Take responsibility for debtors control and reporting with regard to Trucks, parts, Sundries accounts, Warranty debtors and all Export accounts.
    • Take responsibility for preparation of weekly and monthly Debtors analysis and aging reports as well as reconciliation report.
    • Take responsibility for processing all bank deposits against debtor accounts and reconciling parts debtors’ book.
    • Take responsibility for other income such as invoicing and reporting on Sundries accounts
    • Management of LOC’s (Letter of Credits) and guarantees according to UD Trucks policies and procedures.
    • Take responsibility for administration, processing and reporting on Dealer claims.
       

    Client

    • Liaise with banks, dealers and customers on full debtors control function
    • Communicate with internal departments (Sales, Parts, warranties, etc.)

    Job Knowledge And Skills Required

    • Regulatory and legislative framework (South African) (essential); Proven knowledge of credit control activities (essential); Commercial automotive industry (desirable); SAP and/or Syspro system (desirable)
    • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite, Excel (advanced level);
    • Analytical skills;
    • Communication skills (oral, written);


    Job Experience

    • A Credit Control Diploma will be advantageous
    • Minimum of 5 years credit control experience (essential);
    • Exposure to manufacturing/automotive industry (desirable);
    • Exposure to a multinational organization (desirable);
    • Exposure to monthly reporting requirements (desirable);

    Financial Accountant - Soft Products

    Introduction
    To manage, oversee, and take full ownership of the specialised financial accounting process, ensure that it complies with all set parameters and standards, and that the accounting function fully supports the business objectives

    Role Description

    • Ensure that financial accounting reporting is done within required deadlines and in full compliance with set standards of quality
    • Ensure compliance with local legislation and accounting standards
    • Continuously undertake checks and balances to ensure the optimal integrity of the accounting systems and processes
    • Provide reconciliations and information as part of the Audit process
    • Provide specialist advice and consult with internal clients to support them in reaching their business objectives and ensure optimal compliance
    • Implement changes in a timeous, correct manner and at the right level of quality
    • Identify any gaps that may exist in processes, policies and systems and take remedial action to correct such
    • Identify risk factors, ensure that the relevant stakeholders are made aware thereof and corrective actions taken to mitigate against risks to the business
    • Results interpretation, analysis, verification and reporting for various accounts within trial balance
       

    Inventory Responsibilities (Soft Products - Parts Inventory)

    • Ensure proper reconciliation of all inventory.
    • Responsible for the effective and efficient valuation of stock by maintaining and updating, evaluating records. Propose and implement corrections, investigate system errors. (To ensure sufficient/accurate provisions for obsolescence, NRV etc.)
    • Responsible to ensure the effective and efficient control and accounting of stock by ensuring that stock taking takes place as per company policy. Identify and report on variances and implement corrective measures.
    • Responsible to ensure that all stock movements are accurate and duly authorised in respect of company policy and procedure.
    • To accurately prepare and interpret monthly reports on inventory for Management. (Values, quantities, ageing details, stock turnover days, stock counts etc)
    • Responsible for all the interphases between sub ledger and general ledger related to Vehicle inventory
