    Donor Attendant/Driver (Pinelands)

    Description

    • Are you passionate about driving as well as delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for an experienced Code EC1 or EC driver that can multi task. We require someone that is Physically fit and able to lift and move around heavy Clinic Equipment.

    A permanent vacancy exists for Donor Attendant/Driver

    Donor Division – Mobile Clinics (Grade B3)

    Purpose of the Job

    To maintain an effective flow of the blood donor clinic by:

    • Assisting in carrying clinic equipment to and from venues
    • Assisting with the assembly of the clinic.
    • Interacting with the donors.
    • Preparing the donor for donation.
    • Monitoring the donor during the donation.
    • Ending the bleeding process
    • Dealing with adverse reactions
    • Transport staff and equipment safely to and from clinics

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric Certificate
    • A Code EC1 or EC driver’s licence without endorsements and a valid PrDP with 3 years Driving experience
    • Computer Skills (Certificate is advantageous)
    • The working hours are variable and shift work is required with some weekend work and call-outs.
    • First Aid Qualification (Advantageous)

    A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:

    • Well spoken, well-groomed with good communication skills
    • Possess excellent customer service skills and able to deal with the public
    • Accuracy in data collection
    • Have a friendly disposition and a willingness to “go the extra mile”
    • Ability to work as part of a team is essential
    • Previous experience in a customer service environment is required
    • Ability to carry clinic equipment to and from venues

    IT Project Manager (Pinelands)

    Description

    • An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the IT Department to manage exciting projects that have a material impact on the WCBS and its mission to deliver a safe and reliable blood supply.

    Main purpose of the role:

    • Reporting to the IT Client Services Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of IT projects that are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivering projects in line with the WCBS Project Methodology
    • Tracking and reporting of project progress
    • Assisting in defining scope and objectives
    • Leading cross functional project teams and co-ordinating project team members
    • Development and management of project plans including work/task schedules
    • RAID Management
    • Developing and executing organisational change management
    • Managing project budgets
    • Facilitating and presenting to project boards
    • Provide project consulting & support to the business, IT and project teams
    • Take on a leadership role within the IT Client Services Team

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements and experience:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science
    • PRINCE 2 Practitioner / PMP Certifications
    • ITIL V3 Foundation (or better) Certification is advantageous
    • 7 years’ experience in ICT
    • Minimum 3 years in a dedicated project management role
    • 5 years’ experience in software development project management
    • Exposure to Agile development projects would be advantageous
    • Valid Code B driver’s license without endorsements is essential

    Main Purpose:

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Distribution and setup of promotional material and required branding equipment for blood donor clinics

    Provide support and relief for Marketing Practitioners by:

    • Performing marketing activities and advertising of blood donation clinics
    • Maintenance of assigned clinics and donor base
    • Assist with scheduling clinic dates
    • General departmental administrative duties
    • Be willing and able to lift and carry branding equipment
    • Assist the Marketing and PR teams on an ad hoc basis

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Matric Certificate/Grade 12
    • Diploma in Public Relations/Marketing or equivalent qualification
    • A minimum of one year’s experience in the PR, Marketing or Promotions environment.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office is essential.
    • An unendorsed code 08 driver’s licence
    • Must have reliable transport
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (bilingual).
