    Service Technician

    • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Field Service Technician to join our team on a contract basis.  The successful candidate must reside in Bloemfontein, Free State.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of all Arjo equipment within hospitals and Medical facilities. This role will involve extensive travel in and around the Free State and Northern Cape region, encompassing servicing, fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on all Arjo supplied equipment. Efficient turnaround times and the completion of services and repairs are given high priority with a strong emphasis on quality.

    Experience, qualifications, and skills required:

    • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years of technical experience with an electrical and or mechanical engineering background.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 2 years field service experience.
    • Advanced computer literacy skills in MS Excel and Outlook.
    • Valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB) and PDP would be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in driving a company vehicle
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Self-motivated
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Ability in translating and reading technical schematics and diagrams
    • Must be customer service oriented.
    • Must be available to work after hours on an ad hoc basis.
    • Must be available to travel nationally when needed or required.
    • Solid business acumen.

    As the Medical Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

    Duties:

    • Service & repair systems to full working capacity.
    • Assess, repair, service & provide reports over a wide range of equipment
    • Perform annual maintenance services on demo equipment
    • Complete quality field actions and provide reports
    • Maintain and follow warranty processors and procedures for all intended repairs.
    • Fill in and complete job cards for any service repairs, warranties or labour related work
    • Schedule weekly plans and activities
    • Complete paper work submissions and daily activity reports.
    • Assist with service related queries at hospitals or customer sites.
    • Communicate weekly visits and schedules to Hospitals
    • Maintain & build good customer relationships
    • Build relationships with service consultants for support on service activities.
    • Plan country trips to outline areas and regions to complete equipment inspections, services & repairs
    • Fill out quotations for replacement parts and keep a track record
    • Adhere to safety and quality standards on all Arjo products.
    • Update & capture assessment and manage service records
    • Maintain company vehicle in good condition.
    • Maintain vehicle mileage logbook.
    • Manage tools and testing equipment

    Biokineticist (Sales Consultant)

    • The Biokineticist (Sales Consultant) is responsible for driving commercial growth on Long Term Care and Home Care solutions, patient handling, early mobilization and services in the KwaZulu Natal region.

    As the Biokineticist (Sales Consultant) you will be responsible for:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
    • Consistently developing new partnerships in broadening theLong Term Care and Home Care solutions, patient handling and early mobilization footprint 
    • Achieving sales
    • Analyzing needs for quality improvement plans
    • In-service training on all products sold
    • Providing customers with solutions to manage risks associated with immobility
    • Travel within the KwaZulu Natal region to service customers

    Administrative Duties:

    • Recording sales and pipeline information via weekly and quarterly territory analysis
    • Maintaining and communicating weekly planners and daily activities Forecasting of sales

    Qualifications:

    • Tertiary qualification - diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy/Biokineticist would be highly desirable

    Requirements:

    Product Specialist (Medical Beds & Service)

    • The Product Specialist (Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover) is responsible for driving growth and expanding the product portfolio. They use strong product and project management skills to execute growth strategies and work closely with business unit leaders. The role requires high ownership and strong governance to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of these strategies.

    As the Product Specialist – (Medical Beds & Service) you will be responsible for:

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Performance Management:

    • Analysis and report on product category performance.
    • Working closely with the sales team to achieve product category targets.
    • Identify underperforming/underdeveloped products and build strategies to increase

    Performance.

    Product Management:

    • Manage products throughout product lifecycle.
    • Identify gaps in the market/customer needs/company offering and find appropriated products to fill these gaps.
    • Launch new products.
    • Conduct product training to ensure optimal product knowledge amongst sales teams.
    • Conduct market analysis.
    • Conduct competitor analysis and keep abreast of competitor movements.

    Demand Creation:

    • Build strategies to stimulate sales activity.
    • Drive assessments, workshops, demo’s, trials and other demand creation activities.

    Campaigns:

    • Drive campaigns to increase brand awareness, product awareness and increased sales activity. 

    Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in a product specialist or project management role
    • Proven track record of project execution and product management skills.
    • Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
    • A confident individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide collaboration of stakeholders within business units

    Personal Qualities:

    • Strong presence with ability to interact with Senior Leadership.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
