    Night Manager

    Summary

    • The Night Manager will be responsible for coordinating Improved Quality Nursing Care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating Training, Development and Mentoring of staff in the Hospital. The incumbent will also be expected to apply and manage the best and most effective operational practice by focusing on the integration of people, technology, and finance drivers in ensuring costs are maintained within budget.
    • Administrate and supervise thus ensuring standards for quality nursing care are met in the hospital, evaluate on an on-going basis, and take appropriate action.

    Ward Secretary

    Summary

    • The incumbent will be responsible for coordination of all secretarial & Billing duties in the ward as well as receiving all new patients, visitors and doctors. 

    Responsibilities and Duties: 

    • Answering the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
    • Taking messages for staff, patients and doctors
    • Admitting the patient into the ward and supporting patients whilst they await to enter theatre
    • Ensuring the doctor and the patients’ families are informed of any transfers

    • The Case Manager will be responsible for the liaison between the patient and medical aids in order to secure payment for the hospital.

    • Governance strategy and evidence-based practice.
    • Monitor the patients journey through structured review of the patient feedback survey, initiating intervention and quality improvement where indicated.
    • Evaluate Nursing Quality Indicators and Clinical Outcomes.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families and parents regarding the patient’s care.
    • Ensure the principles of Infection Prevention and all standard precautions are adhered to.
