    Enrolled Nurse X2

    Summary

    • The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and Unit Manager. 

    Requirements

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse
    • Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse and all applicable health care legislation
    • Relevant experience in the nursing discipline would be an advantage
    • Computer Literacy 

    Work Experience

    • Three or more years of experience in Anaesthetics
    • Experience in Theatre is compulsory 

    Knowledge

    Registered Nurse (Trained) x2

    Summary

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance to hospital standards and policies. The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs, is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will actively participate in Clinical Governance.

    Responsibilities and Duties: 

    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
    • Contribute to the holistic care of patients
    • Attend handover of report at shift commencement. Audit of health records to ensure compliance
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
    • Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors
    • Practice the principles of infection prevention and control
    • Carry out all departmental duties as assigned, and perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Unit Manager or senior member of staff

    Requirements

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
    • Relevant post-basic qualification and experience within the nursing discipline of Critical Care Nursing

    Work Experience

    • Three or more years of experience in a private hospital
    • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
    • Relevant experience in all of the nursing disciplines is essential

    Knowledge

    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

    Mechanical Artisan (HVAC)

    Summary

    • Responsible for maintaining and repairing all electrical and mechanical systems within a facility, including equipment and appliances. Must conduct frequent inspections, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to various systems, while also ensuring compliance with Busamed’ s policies and procedures.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 /Matric
    • Trade Test Certificate
    • Mechanical/Millwright/Engineering qualification
    • Driver’s License

    Work Experience

    • 3-4 years’ experience in an Artisan role.
    • 3-4 years post qualification experience in a mechanical environment, including but limited to air conditioning, welding, fitting, and turning and boilers/geysers or
    • Experience in working on air-conditioning air compressors, autoclaves, and medical gas systems.
    • Must be Computer literate in MS Office.
    • Occupational Health and Safety Act’s regulations relating to machinery.
    • Knowledge of the R158 building regulations, specifically with regards to hospitals, theatres, and industrial kitchens.
    • Professional flexibility in working hours while supporting daily business hours.
    • I must be able to interact with internal and external customers through several different means.
    • Ability to travel independently due to 24hr functionality of the hospital environment.
    • Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to get to and from the hospital

    Unit Manager

    Summary

    • The Unit Manager will be responsible for coordinating Quality Nursing Care by ensuring compliance with professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating training, development and mentoring of staff in the Unit. The incumbent will be expected to apply and manage the best and most effective operational practice by focusing on the integration of people, technology and financial drivers in ensuring that Unit costs are maintained within budget.

    Requirements

    Clinical Technician/ Technologist

    Summary
    The incumbent will be responsible for management and maintenance of medical equipment technology and all associated facets within the hospital. The critical outputs will include:

    • Establish and maintain an accurate computerised asset management system as per Hospital Engineering protocols,
    • Generate and manage medical equipment replacement plan for all medical equipment for the hospital
    • Perform first line repairs, modifications and installations on equipment, utilising the necessary test equipment, in accordance with the standards and recommendations of original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and/or governing agencies
    • Perform preventive maintenance inspections of equipment in line with Hospital engineering and OEM protocols
    • Coordinate the selection and acquisition of medical equipment technology that is fit for purpose and application, and up-to-date with current developments and best practices in the healthcare field,
    • Communicate and negotiate with vendorsto purchase the most cost effective equipment at the highest quality as per Hospital engineering and procurement protocols
    • Coordinate the ‘Supply chain management’ of medical equipment for all growth/new projects as per Hospital protocols
    • Monitor and report on equipment failure trends and life cycle costs
    • Ensures risks are controlled by reporting incidents and potential risks and corrective action taken
    • Ensure safe working procedures and technical documents are adhered to
    • Manage Equipment SLAs at hospital level and ensure outputs are met
    • Perform formal operators training and monitor competency compliance by arranging training with vendors for hospital nursing staff and equipment end-users.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Clinical / Bio medical engineering or Diploma in electronics or Electrical Engineering/ relevant NQF level 6 Qualification
    • Member of the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa (CEASA) advantageous
    • Driver’s license and ability to travel

    Work Experience

    • 3 years’ experience within a hospital environment as a Clinical Technician
    • Experience within, and understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
    • Previous exposure to planned maintenance, budgets and financial control
    • Previous management experience and/or qualification would be an advantage

    Knowledge

    • Computer Literacy essential
    • Solid understanding of Asset Management Systems
    • Solid Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulatory requirements
    • Ability to control a structured budget, whilst providing cutting edge technology to customers

    Summary

    • Marketing Manager will be responsible for the Internal and External marketing of the hospital and Brand Management

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive the implementation of marketing strategies
    • Actively participate in hospital marketing and communication campaigns and initiatives

    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years Marketing experience is essential
    • Experience in a Private Hospital environment would be advantageous

    Knowledge

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Intermediate computer skills are essential and working knowledge of the design programs is advantageous
